WHEN YOU CAME HOME, YOU made sure to shut the door quietly behind you. The apartment looked empty, dimly lit, but the faint sound of music playing from the end of the corridor told you otherwise. Your roommate had undoubtedly made it home before you.

Being a stripper was a blood-sucking job. It paid well – as well as a job could pay

Your fatigue was heavy on your shoulders. Still, the moment you heard Nicki Minaj playing – even at this hour – you had the strength to muster up a tired smile. You dropped your duffle bag right on the floor, setting your stiletto heels down with a similar clatter.

"I'm home!" You shouted.

The music paused. After a brief moment of silence, a door cracked open, and your bubbly, brown-haired roommate came walking towards you.

"Roomieeeee!" Nobara sang, arms wide open. Clearly, she wanted a hug – and though you weren't entirely too interested in being hugged by a drunk person, you let her have it. She pulled away with a loud sigh, complimenting your performance from earlier, "You were so good tonight! You were on fire!"

You laughed quietly, sheepishly, letting her put the distance between the two of you. (She was a sappy drunk. You knew better than to push her away). "Thanks, Nobie."

"Did you hear me?" She asked. She walked away from you, but only to rest her tailbone against the top of your shared couch. Her brown hair was clipped back into a... whatever those hairstyles with claw clips were called. "I was screaming for you, did you hear it?"

"A bit hard to hear you over the music, Nobie," You sighed. Moving past the girl, you made out for the bathroom. You could still feel the fucking club grime all over you – there was nothing you wanted more than a warm shower in that moment. A nice, long bath to soothe your tired bones.
