"Hussey, my child, did you steal your aunt's ring?" Little Hussey nods as she opens her hand revealing her aunt's wedding ring. Her mom softly smiles.

"Promise me not to do that again okay? Stealing is bad." Little Hussey looks at her mom's eyes as she nods her head.

My mom used to tell me when I was a kid that adults knew when a kid was lying.

"Hussey! Hussey!" Her mom calls. 5-year-old Hussey came running to where her mom was.

"Love, have you seen Dad's card? The one he swipes when we go out to buy our clothes?"

5-year-old Hussey stares at her mom. Although her mom speaks in a soft voice, she knows how important that card is by just looking at her eyes. She gulped hard.

"Do you have it, love?" Her mom stared straight into her eyes as if she was looking for something.

They just have to look at your eyes and they'll see a star forming in your iris.

"Hussey thought Dad would love it to be beautiful."

"What did you do to it, love?" Her mom said, giving her a concerned smile.

"I'll show you!" Hussey held her mom's hand and guided her to her room.

"Hussey cuts it onto a flower shape!" Hussey excitedly exclaimed as she showed her mom the card of her dad shaped into a flower. Her mom sighed as she shook her head side-by-side. She smiled at Hussey as she lifted her before telling her what she did wrong.

"Okay, class! Listen!" Their teacher exclaimed. She stands in front of the class with the 8-year-old Lucy beside her, crying.

"Who stole Lucy's book?" The teacher asked as she looked around the room, looking for the culprit.

"No one's gonna admit it?" The kids shook their heads rapidly, except Hussey. Which their teacher noticed.

"Hussey, do you know something?" Hussey stared at her as her teacher slowly approached her.

"Do you know who it is?" Her teacher asked again. She unconsciously turned her head towards her classmate, Jay. Jay glared at her.

"It's Jay, ma'am." Hussey answered as she slowly turned to face the crying Lucy.

"She's lying!" Jay shouted.

"I saw it, he stole it to make Lucy cry. And he did it multiple times. They are just afraid of him." She said as she is now looking at her teacher. Jay groaned.

"Jay, I need you to go with me. And I'm calling your parents." Jay gave Hussey another glare as he followed their teacher.

I was raised to be honest, at all times.

"That's what you get when go against me!" Jay exclaimed as he gave Hussey another kick.

I was beaten for being honest.

"Seriously, I did not do that! I did not do that to Mr. Bones. I did not burn his coat because I saw how he looks at you! How he looks at you like he'll do something bad!" Hussey stated in panic, slightly panting, as she looked at Lucy staring intently at her with crossed arms.
