- Flashback -

Jungkook had received the call from Jimin, an SOS that cut through the noise of his everyday life like a blade. He knew it was urgent; he could hear the desperation in Jimin's voice. Without hesitation, he had rushed to the location Jimin had given him.

He found Jimin was badly beaten, his face swollen and bruised, his body covered in cuts and contusions. Jungkook didn't waste a second. He carefully lifted his Jimin and carried him to his motorcycle.

The journey back to his place was a blur of worry and adrenaline. Once at his place, Jungkook laid Jimin down gently on a makeshift bed. He had no medical training, but he did his best to clean and bandage Jimin's wounds. Then, all he could do was wait and hope for the best.

Days passed in agonizing silence. Jungkook stayed by Jimin's side, watching over him as he slept, waiting for any sign that he was going to be okay. It was a grueling wait, filled with anxiety and uncertainty.

Then, one day, Jimin finally woke up. His eyes fluttered open, and he groaned softly in pain.

"What the hell happened, Jimin?" Jungkook asked, his voice laced with concern. "Who did this to you?"

Jimin struggled to sit up, wincing in pain as he moved. He looked at Jungkook, his eyes filled with a mixture of fear and determination. "Do the Serpents know I'm alive?" he asked urgently.

Jungkook nodded. "No one knows you're here. I've been hiding you."

Jimin sighed in relief. "Good. Then I can explain everything."

The night air was cool against Jungkook's skin as he bolted out of his apartment, the weight of Jimin's revelations pressing heavily on his chest. He could feel the powerful vibrations of his motorcycle beneath him as he hastily climbed on, his heart pounding in rhythm with the engine's roar.

As he revved the bike to life, his mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. Jimin's words echoed in his ears like a relentless refrain, the name Y/N reverberating in his mind. It was as though a dam had burst, and all the memories and emotions he had buried deep inside came flooding back with a vengeance.

The fact that Y/N never left.

The idea that she could have been the enigmatic "whisperer" the gang had been trying to track down sent shivers down his spine. It was a revelation that raised more questions than it answered. How had she been living? What had driven her to this dangerous path? Was she safe? The uncertainty clawed at him, driving him forward with a sense of urgency.

Jungkook's knuckles tightened around the handlebars as he sped through the dimly lit streets, the city's chaotic nightlife a mere blur of neon lights and distant laughter. All he could think of was Y/N, her face, her touch, her presence so vivid in his mind that it felt as though she was right beside him.

He could almost feel the softness of her skin, the warmth of her smile, the way she used to laugh. The memories were like a bittersweet ache in his chest, a reminder of the love they had shared and the pain of their separation.

As he weaved through the labyrinthine streets of the city, Jungkook couldn't help but wonder about her. How was she doing? Had she changed? Was she still the same person he had fallen in love with all those years ago? The thought of seeing her again, of holding her in his arms, sent a rush of emotions coursing through him.

But there was also a nagging fear that gnawed at the edges of his mind. The dangerous world of the Serpents was no place for someone like Y/N. He had to find her, protect her, and somehow make sense of the chaos that had engulfed their lives.
