"Where is this maze?" I asked.
Dr. Sullivan pointed at a machine.
"It's not real," I said.
"Oh no, it's very real. It just takes place in your mind. Now, when you've completed the maze, there's a puzzle box. You have to complete the puzzle box for the location of an identical puzzle box. That's where our information is," said Dr. Sullivan.
"What is this information?" I asked.
"I told you, it's gonna save our world," said Dr. Sullivan.
"How?" I asked.
"We don't know!" said Dr. Sullivan.
"You're lying to me!" I shot back.
"I am not!" He said, as his eyes shifted to the right.
"You are, too!" I said.
"How would you know?" He asked.
"Your eyes shifted to the right, the creative side of the brain. That's where your eyes go when you're lying," I said.
"I can't tell you," he said.
"I won't accept that," I said, "Full transparency, or I won't cooperate."
"We don't need you to cooperate for this to work," he said.
"I'm very good at messing things up," I said.
"I don't think that will happen," said Dr. Sullivan.
"Test me," I said through my teeth.
"Harper, there are things you can't know, and you have to accept that," said Dr. Sullivan, "Now we have to test you before we put you in the maze. Are you ready for the first test?"
I would prove him wrong. I could mess this up for them, show them they'd be doing this on my terms.
"Ready."
A/N I know it's boring right now it get's better I promise. I was setting up for what will happen in the next few chapters.
Idk how long I'm gonna make it. It may be a short story and I might finish it in a few more parts or it may be a full blown novel. Depends idk.
