“I told you!” He bellowed at the small girl in front of him. He towered over her, his eyes red with rage. The girl whimpered; begging on her knees. Her father was angry with her, she got screamed at more times then she could count, but still she tried to her best, but he didn’t care.
“I’m sorry father.” She pleaded with him in her small voice.
“Shut it you stupid girl! I told you not to do it! And still you disobey me!” He screamed at her, he reached down and picked her up by her throat, letting her feet dangle beneath her.
“Let her go!” Her mother yelled at the man she thought was her husband. Her husband would never do this to his child.
“She is a freak! An outcast! She will no longer carry the name of Shadowweath. Never again! Leave my house.” He screamed in her face.
“No. She is still your daughter. Your flesh and blood!” The mother cried desperately to get him
“Not anymore.” He threw her to the ground and kicked her in the stomach. Her father walked out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him. Her mother move to her side to care for her daughter.
“Momma, I don’t want to go.” The child cried, there was a slight pain in her stomach, but her heart ached more. She knew she wasn’t allowed to show her other side, she didn’t, her other siblings told her father that she did. It wasn’t her fault, but he did not care.
“You must honey. I love you no matter what though. You are special and only a few of your kind still live. I am lucky to call you my daughter. I want you to listen to me, you need to go to the cave up north of here. There should be another like you there.” Her mother told her with hopeful eyes.
“Yes, momma.”
“Go now child, pack clothes and I will get you food.” The girl hurried to her small room, grabbing a bag that her mother had made for her, she placed clothes inside. Slipping on her small boots, she headed to find her mother wrapping breath up for her. Stuffing the food in her bag, the girl pulled it on. The mother kissed her forehead and the girl was off to find the cave.
