I wake up as soon as I hear someone break my window.
The sound startles me from sleep, but slowly, slowly, my brain realizes that it's nothing out of the ordinary.
For the last 5 months such things have been happening to me. The kids who think they're funny and break my window and then yell, "Fix that bitch." I don't know where this attraction of them to break my windows started, but I never paid them that much attention. If you give too much attention to young children, they will think they are the center of the earth and continue what they are doing.
I get out of bed and down the stairs, being careful not to step on the ones that I know will creak. You can call it an obsession, a mental problem, but I call it a habit.
I turn left, arriving in the kitchen and immediately I see my boyfriend, looking perplexed at the broken window. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell him about that.
We've only been together for 2 and a half weeks, but I feel like I've known him for a lifetime.
  >Marcus: "What the fuck, Elaine?"
  >Elaine: "Good morning to you too"
  >Marcus: "Is this supposed to be a joke?" he says pointing to the shards and brick on the floor.
  >Elaine: "It's just something kids usually do, just at my house. Never mind, I'll fix it right away, I've got a few spare windows."
  >Marcus: "God forbid. I believe you, but you should do something about it, especially since you have Marcus Jr. now."
  >Elaine: "Yeah.. I think I'll try to find their parents this time. I wanted to tell you something, but don't be scared."
  >Marcus: Is something wrong with Marcus Jr.? Elaine please don't make me go crazy."
  >Elaine: "No, no, God! The first time I would like to tell you to give him another name, I don't know.. like Finn."
  >Marcus: "We can call him Finn, but for me he will always be Marcus Jr."
  >Elaine: "And secondly, I was hired for a very big project! I don't know who hired me, but they already paid me 3000$ !  They want me to stay in the apartment that will be demolished until I finish making the sketch and then build the house exactly like that place. I hope you don't mind if I'm away from home, okay? I mean, I could refuse... It won't last more than a month, though."
Marcus gives me a surprised look and out of habit, when I see him approaching me, I back away. But he just wanted to hug me.
  >Marcus: "Are you joking? Think how much we could do with the money on the whole project! We could make Marcus Jr.'s cannery, we could take that trip to France you wanted... If you want it, I can't stop you. I just want you to promise me that you will take care of yourself, my love.
  >Elaine: "I promise on my pinky. How about a hearty breakfast now? Finn needs to be fed too."

I hug Marcus again, letting him kiss me on the cheek. I feel like he's going to be a good dad.
   He is the chosen one.

   I hope.
