"My time is now. Nothing is stopping me." — Soul Rivers.

[author notes: since this story is a short story and it's basically fanfiction and just a gift to you guys for Christmas/new years... it won't be written with full details and in the manner my previous/future books are written.]

I stood in the auditorium, waiting for the performance to begin. The bleachers were full with roaring fans, Soul was popular. She was really doing her thing and I was mad proud of her, the more and more she went through this industry, the layers she underwent, she killed. I was excited to see her live and experience her music firsthand since her prior performance was interrupted.

As the lights dimmed, the crowd erupted into applause. Soul walked onto the stage, her presence commanding the attention of everyone in the room. She began to sing, her voice filling the auditorium with a soulful melody that sent shivers down my spine.

Her voice was powerful. Any one who truly listened, couldn't help but love her.

I watched as she poured her heart and soul into each note, her passion and energy radiating from the stage. The audience was captivated, swaying to the rhythm of the music and singing along to the lyrics.

As the song came to an end, the crowd erupted into thunderous applause. I stood up, clapping along with everyone else. I knew that he had just witnessed something special, something that would never be forgotten. She was doing more than any new artist, and I was one person who would be here to push her to the very top. But once she finished recording, something was off with her. Her smile. Her wave. All fake. Something was definitely off with her.

"Soul! Soul! Soul!" The crowd chanted for another song.

As I looked over at her, I could tell something was off. I leaned off the bleachers and made my way over to her as the principal began to speak. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" I whispered. She shook her head no and held her stomach. "I feel like I'm going to be sick."
