"Hey baby how was school?" I asked as me and Maliyah walked out of her school
"It was good I got into open doors"
"What's that?" I pretended not to know
It's been almost 3 years. I haven't spoken to Von at all. We only communicate through his mama. I moved out into my own place not as nice as the house we stayed in with Von but it's just us 2 now so it wasn't really needed. Maliyah stayed with me Monday-Friday and would go with Von on the weekends.
His mama say he always ask how im doing and she tells me how she havent met another female yet so we could still 'figure out how to make it work' . She says I need boundaries and Von need to respect them or he can lose us a second time.
I don't think it's worth the hassle honestly. It took him a whole year just to sign the papers. And I had to beg his mama to make him sign them then. I just have mixed emotions about trying again.
"Ma" Maliyah got my attention as she buckled her seat belt
"I'm sorry baby my mind just started wondering" I chuckled softly "but that's so good baby im proud of you. You can tell me more later ok? I wanna hear about it"
"Okay. Why you come get me early?" She asked as I got in the car buckling my seat belt
"Well you know you go with yo daddy today right? You excited?"
"Yes" She got excited "we have so much fun"
"I'm glad. You wanna get yo nails done? I just wanted to spend some time with you before you go"
"Yes"
"Okay"

"Heyyy" I said as me and Maliyah walked into Tasha house
"Hey" we followed her voice to the kitchen
"Grandma!" Maliyah hugged her
"Hey baby" she hugged her "hey Alexis"
"Hey ma" I hugged her "you look good like always"
"You too girl yo hips getting a li wider you met a man?"
"Yes ma'am his name gym" I said making her laugh "baby that's where I be onna weekends finally got my weight back"
