Gus🪞 x Matt🪨

A short story about Gus and Mattolomule becoming a couple somewhere in s1/2. Btw sorry if this storie has some grammatical mistakes bc i'm not native speaker👍

It was a nice summer day, all days have been nice for Gus, since summer break would be only in one week. The entire day in school he daydreamed about what he could all do during the 6 week long break he got from school. It was not like he wouldn't like school but the thought of having some time alone was calming.  In the last time he didn't really had enough of "alone time" because ofc of his friends Luz, Willows and Amity but also bc of matt who was, recently, a lot around, but also would start a little chatt in the school corridor with him. That was odd, Gus thought because usually Matt would never stick around him on his free willingly, or even talk to him. He didn't noticed that his toughts slowly drifted of to the boy till the school bell rang.

In break he sat alone bc amity stayed home today while willow and Luz where off discussing some alternive rules with the principle. They offered him to come with them but he declined politely so he could have some free time from all the people and sit a little aside by the trees where usually no one is.

•"Hey what' up nerd!"•
a familiar voice shouted behind him when he sat down on the ground. A little irritated by Matt just popping up out of nowhere he looked up at him 
•"what is it now?"•
Gus said in a annoyed way "if it is a joke about my height then jerk off"
•"What?! No i just thought you looked kinda lonley here"•
•"So what"•
•"Sooo it striked me that i should unite with my old mate Augustus"•
matt said in a jokeing way while sitting down beside him. Gus moved a little away from him
•"well, I don't need your company. Thank you! "•
Gus said in a certain tone. Matt noticed that Gus really doesn't want him around here, atleast for now.
•" ok ok i make it quick then..."•
Matt started before getting interupted by Gus.
•" why what is it now?!"•
•"i came here to talk to you about... something." Matt looked down in embarrassment feeling how his face slightly blushed but gus didn't noticed, he just looked away trying to shift his thoughts back to summer break. After a short moment of awkward silence matt spoke further on. "I've been thinking about this a lot currently and i think-... I think i made a decision"
Gus turned around again, now a little more interested.
•"spill the beans man“•
•" wha- oh yeah of course... So what i was about to tell you-... - i like you“•
•" cool- i guess? I mean if you wanna be friends or smth...“• gus said confused, not sure what the other one meant
•"no... " Matt said while covering his face with his hands " i mean i like you  "•
•" you- do?“• gus mumbled now blushing too.
Matt just smiled at him but in a shy way what was unusual for matt so gus knew that he wasnt jokeing but still... Why would he love someone like him..
He again began to overthink. Matts words of affection overstimulated him a bit but he got pulled out of his thoughts again when he felt someone holding his hand.
•it's ok" matt said calm "take your time to process this and sorry if this came out a bit sudden... but hey we could catch up in summer break if you want to?“ matt said friendly and stood up again, letting go of Gus's hand.
• "yeah sure-"• he said barely audible.
•" ok then see ya around"• matt said before walking of.
Gus felt weardly warm and comfortable. He noticed that he also smiled in exitement of seeing matt again in summer break.
