Everyone in the city knew Kim Taehyung. It's hard not to know the mafia boss who keeps the whole city in awe. No one has ever even tried to investigate cases in which there was even a hint of his name. Nobody but you. The best graduate of the police academy with a great sense of justice. Who else has the courage, or rather stupid, to go up against the mafia boss? But you have a reason for doing this! You became a detective to investigate the affairs of the mafia, to find and protect the person you love. But apart from his voice and a short name, you know nothing about him. The only thing you are sure of is that the mafia has something to do with the fact that you never managed to meet.

You walked into your office and froze for a second when you saw Kim Taehyung sitting on the couch next to your desk. You rolled your eyes when his bodyguard pointed a gun at you because you abruptly opened the door. The bodyguard quickly removed his weapon and bowed slightly to greet you. You walked past them without even looking in their direction. Whatever reaction Kim Taehyung wants, he won't get it.

"Some of us are clearly in the wrong place!" you said, walking up to the table.

"Hey, do you even know who you are with ..." the bodyguard didn't finish the sentence because Kim Taehyung raised his hand to stop him.

You chuckled, causing the bodyguard's face to show rage. You opened the top shelf of your desk and took out a thick folder of documents. "Oh, believe me, bellboy, I know very well who's in front of me." You threw the folder on the table, looking at the bodyguard. "Did you come to surrender voluntarily, Kim Taehyung-nim?" you asked mockingly, raising an eyebrow. You weren't afraid of him, no matter who he was or what reputation he had.

Even though the bodyguard was just seething with anger, Kim Taehyung just laughed at your words. "Leave us," he told the bodyguard. "I need to talk alone with the detective ____" after his words, the bodyguard left your office, leaving you alone. "I heard some detective started to take an interest in me too much," he got up from the couch, glaring at you hard. Your jaw tightened as he took a step towards you. "Oh, don't be afraid, I'm unarmed," he said, opening his jacket.

"I'm not afraid of you." You chuckled as you sat down in your chair.

"And I heard that too." He clapped his hands and smiled broadly. He walked over to your table and sat on the edge. He leaned forward, almost being inches from your face. "This is something new, not to see the fear in the eyes of the person in front of me" he smiled broadly at you, carefully studying your face.

"Kim Taehyung-nim!" you loudly slammed your hand on the table, forcing him to sit up straight. "You seem to have really forgotten where you are and who you are talking to now."

He chuckled as he stood up from your desk and sat down on the chair in front of your desk. "Your truth. Your beautiful face and sexy body made me forget that you are a detective. I'm sorry, I still can't get rid of the stereotype that all detectives are lazy and greedy men of the age" he smiled broadly at his own joke, shaking his head. Despite the fury inside, you decided not to pay attention to his comment about your appearance.

"Then I should also apologize for my stereotypes. Kim Taehyung-nim, you also clearly fall short of the role of the godfather of the whole mafia," you answered, looking down at him.

"And why does my name sound so exciting when you say it, ________," he whispered as if he were just thinking out loud.

"So ... you wanted to talk. If it's not a confession, then I don't think we have common topics of conversation. "

"I have a confession" he smiled, meeting your gaze. "You will be mine!"

"Are you not only the mafia boss but also a stand-up comic?" you raised an eyebrow at him skeptically. "I'm afraid you are being booed with such flat jokes," you got up from the table and went to the door. "I am more than sure that you have to go and play further your role of a bad boy," you said, pointing to the open door.

He chuckled, laughing as he got up from his chair. "See you soon," he smiled broadly as he passed you.

"I hope then I will already have a warrant for your arrest with me, Kim Taehyung-nim," you said in his back

He turned and looked at you fondly. "I'm sorry to upset you, my little kitty, but there are no madmen in this city who will sign it."

You chuckled as you slammed the door in his face. You clenched your hands into fists when you heard the quiet laughter outside the door, which was farther away with every step.
