Cherry was good at her job.
She was an excellent shot, skilled in multiple forms of combat, spoke numerous languages and was so good at espionage that she'd forget her own name if she wasn't careful.
But she was careful. Extremely careful.
It's how she knew she was being followed for the last three blocks.
Not wanting to lead her stalker home she turned into an alley, a roster of enemies running in her head as she thought of who it could be.
The Winter Soldier was not one of them. And he needed her help.
He wasn't himself.
Or maybe he was and that was the problem.
Cherry didn't trust anyone.
Especially not the man hired by the Red Room to personally train her.
She thought it was a trap but he seemed desperate. And Cherry was nothing if not a masochist.
So she helped him get new passports and a flight to Romania, somewhere Hydra couldn't follow.
She never expected to hear from him again.
He never expected to call her.
But then Thanos happened. And things changed. The world changed. Five years passed and eventually, people came back.
Some people.
And The Winter Soldier needed her help again.
Against her better judgment, she agreed.
She was a masochist after all.
And besides, he's got really cute friends.

the story takes places during tfws but the prologue will show events from much earlier to get a good background
