Episode: Shape-Shifted

"What happened?" I quick-fired, worry lacing my voice as I hurried toward the bleachers where the boys were already sitting, already geared up for lacrosse practice. "What's wrong?"

Stiles motioned me closer, his expression tense. "There's another werewolf."

"What?" My eyes widened, almost choking, "Who?"

"I don't know." Scott shook his head, "When we were in the locker room, I took a whiff of them. It was kind of like a scent, but I couldn't tell who it was."

I paused, anxiety knotting in my stomach. "You think it's Jackson?" I remembered the day his mere presence made me so physically ill that I ran to the bathroom and puked my guts out. He looked at me weirdly, like I'd discovered a secret.

"No, I think he would be bragging by now." Scott rolled his eyes.

I guess that's true.

"Okay, well, what if you can get him one-on-one?" Stiles suggested, fixing his elbow guards, "Would that help?"

Scott scanned the crowd of lacrosse players before nodding, "Yeah."

I hummed, squinting, "Okay, I got it. I've got an idea."

"Wha -?"

He didn't get to finish his sentence before I was jogging over to Coach Finstock, who stood on the sidelines with a clipboard in hand, surveying the field. "Coach! Coach!"

His eyebrows furrowed, "Levine? What the hell do you want?"

I hummed with a smile, "I had this great idea."

"And that would be?"

"Letting Scott change with Danny just for today."

He looked confused, "Why the hell would I allow that?"

"Scott's a great goalie."

"He is a good player." He conceded, still unconvinced, "but I don't know if I want him as goalie today."

I frowned, "I was hoping you wouldn't say that." I sighed, looking over my shoulder as if disappointed. "Scott's been insecure about his ability as a goalie, and he really wants to do more, but he's scared to tell you."

He glanced over at Scott.

"Look at him," I smirked to myself. "The poor boy's practically begging you to give him a chance."

"Levine -"

"One time." I begged, clasping my hands together in pleading, "Just for today."

He reluctantly agreed and called out for Danny, telling him he wouldn't be playing goalie today. I thanked him quickly, then grabbed one of the goalie sticks, running toward the boys, and handing it to my friend the stick.

"I told Coach you're switching with Danny today."

The other werewolf's nose scrunched, "But I hate playing goal."

"Scott, we have more important things at hand. So, boo-hoo." I reprimanded, shoving the lacrosse gear into his arms, eliciting a grunt and a glare. My hands laid on my hips. "Remember I had an idea?"

He nodded.

"This was the idea."

"Ohh." Scott mused with wide eyes.

"Okay, I like it." Stiles nodded slowly, smiling. "Smart, smart."

"What's the idea?" Our faces fell.

Stiles eyed his friend with disappointment. "I seriously don't understand how you survive without me sometimes."
