The fall

Brozone didn't notice until Floyd had revived
Veneer wasn't able to catch velvet during the perfect family harmony

Veneer covered his mouth he shook to shocked to cry
"v-velvet?„
He whimpered out

Velvet laid on the yachts floor her crimson blood was seeping out from under her head
Brozone turned around to see the horrific scene
"what-„
Branch said cutting off as he looked at veneer, the poor kid was horrified at this point veneer began sobbing and screaming
In the distance sirens could be heard
Branch then looked at velvet veneer could only see the back side of her but the trolls could see her front side it was- tragic all they saw was velvets blood splattered against the golden floor it was a miracle she was still breathing
A boat pulled up next to the yacht a few men rushed onto the yacht and scooped up vel as they brang her to the boat with veneer following

In the hospital

Veneer was in hysterics waiting for news from the doctors as he fidgeted with his fingers his foot tapped against the tile he breathed deeply still shocked
"Uhh, veneer?„
He shot his head up
"velvets in a stable condition but she has to enter surgery soon the fall fractured her skull and caused a brain bleed so we have to get in there and fix that„
Veneer placed his hand on his forehead closing his eyes he softly moved his head and hand up slicking his hair back trying not to burst out in tears
"o-ok.„
He softly said as he watched velvet getting rolled out of the room to the surgery room (idk what it's called😭)
"oh, also you should probably go home, get some sleep your gonna need it„
The doctor popped back out as veneer slowly nodded taking a deep breath he slowly got up and checked his phone as he walked to his car.

Veneer hopped into the car and drove back to his and velvets house as he walked through the halls he stared into velvets room almost breaking down he ran into his own room, changing into an oversized black t-shirt and some pajama pants
As he laid down he placed his hands over his face and began violently sobbing
Why was it vel? It should have been me!
Why didn't I save her.

Veneer woke up the next day, he hardly got any sleep. He walked into there kitchen and grabbed some junk food, he sat back in his room and began binging on it as he scrolled through his phone jumping as he got a call from the hospital he quickly answered
"hello, veneer is it? Velvet had a successful surgery but she's stuck in a coma.„
Veneers heart sank
"oh.„
"we will update you if anything happens.„
"o-okay, thank you.„
Veneer said hanging up he placed his phone on his chest and stared at the ceiling

A week goes by
Veneer is stuck in a depressing state, bags under his eyes, matted hair, his room was a mess and he could only eat microwaveable meals he didn't have the energy to eat a decent meal he would only leave the house if he was out of food
The poor dude awoken to call he answered and placed it on speaker
"hey, veneer? How are you doing„
Veneer noticed the familiar voice it was kid ritz the interviewer
"shitty.„
He grumbled
"i was wondering if you wanna go out I can pick you up!„
Veneer thought for a moment
"I don't want to see the outside world.„
Ritz sighed
"cmon man it'll be fun„
Veneer sighed
"fine.„
He grumbled as he sat up
"I'll be there in 20„
Ritz said hanging up
