Velvet

I awoken in a panicked state I looked around we weren't on the yacht? Where's veneer? I look at my arm seeing the iv just then the doctor walked in shocked
"your... awake?„
I looked at him unable to muster something to say
Finally I spoke
"veneer?„
The doctors ran a few tests and determined that I was good enough to be released they handed me a list of phone numbers to call sighing I dialed
in the first one, they picked up pretty quickly
"hello?„
"veneer?„
Silence
"I'll be there in 5„
He hung up the phone
I sat down in one of the chairs in the waiting room when veneer bursts through the door
Wearing my jacket he frantically searched the waiting room I stood up as he ran to me, he hugged me super tightly
"veneer-„
He cut me off and began crying
I hugged him back veneer placed his hands on my shoulders and pulled out of the hug
"vel I-„
"I wanna go home.„
Veneer nodded his head and grabbed my hand as we walked out he threw me in the backseat and sat in the front with ritz
As ritz drove us home I sat in silence

We arrived home I gently got out and me and veneer walked inside I couldn't help but smell the stench coming from his room
"what happened in here?„
I said looking at veneer I finally noticed the bags under his eyes, the knots in his hair
"veneer I-„
I paused as I saw him crying I felt heartbroken watching him fall to the floor holding his face as he sobbed I held onto to him trying to comfort him
"I- I thought you'd never awaken!„
He said
"veneer, I- I need you to tell me what happened.„

After veneer explained what had happened I was shocked that he had to see me like that..
"veneer..„
I gripped onto him in a hug we both began crying on the floor
