Sport Center
Hallway
"What a large crowd", Haruko looked around and saw that Rukawa's fangirls multiplied. She noticed a conflicted lady hesitating to enter the stadium. The black-haired lady in her grey sweatshirt and jeans sighed deeply and seemed to find the courage to take the first step. She retracted her feet and nearly lost her balance.
Fujie and Matsui, Haruko's friend tilted their head. "What is she doing?", they both asked in unison.
"The game is going to start now. Let's get the best seat!".
"I also want to be in the front row", Amane said under her breath. "Then, why don't you seat with us? I know you'd be cheering for Sendo-san but Sakuragi-kun have their way of securing a good spot", Haruko appeared behind her. "Haruko and friends", she recognized. "I'm Matsui and she is Fujie", the two introduced themselves.
Inside the Stadium
As soon as both teams went out, the crowd started to cheer. "This game will decide who will enter the inter high", Haruko informed.
"That was close fight with Kainan and Shohoku. That means, they have a shot on this".
Haruko looked at Amane with a concern but notice that she was just staring at the court without having to direct her eyes to Sendo. "I hope I'm not overstepping. Are you interested with Sendo-san? I mean... You don't have to answer if you don't want to", the lady shook her head. Amane just shook her head. "He's a good friend of mine. I owe him a lot back in middle high", she answered.
And I think I became too comfortable with his presence. When he graduated, I seemed to lose my instinct to survive in a harsh environment.
"Attention-grabber"
"Goody-good shoes"
"Always too much".
The first basket was miraculously made by the newbie in basketball, Sakuragi. "Did you see that?! I'm a genius after all", the lad bragged. He gained the amazement from the crowd.
How I wish I could also have that kind of carefree attitude again, Hanamichi-kun. Why did I start being bothered with what other people think? Does growing up have to be this complicated?
"Great shot, Sakuragi-kun!!!", Haruko cheered. His friends were also amazed.
Why did I became so scared when I had wonderful friends cheering on me?
"Sorry, I think I wanted to breathe some fresh air", Amane excused herself.
Center's Balcony
The lady drank mango juice and leaned on the balcony rail. The sky looks so blue that time. Her phone rang.
"Amane, guess where I am now?"
"Yuzuki, I'm glad you called. I just wanted to hear your voice".
"Why? Did something happen? Come to think of it. Those Miu and her bastards came snickering when I passed them. I was about to throw a punch".
"Pull your fist, Yuzuki. I'm just fine. I saw them yesterday but I realized something thanks to them".
"If you need, I'll go directly where you are now".
Amane heard cheers on the background.
"Areh~ You are watching basketball right now, aren't you, Amane?".
"Well, it's Sendo-san's final game after all".
"Are you implying that he will lose? Kamakura's #1 will lose?".
