YUU GROANED in slight pain, her shaking hand—bleeding from the flames of Grim. But it was gonna be fine soon, you.. you could use your healing, right? But letting everyone see? It wasn't worth it just yet. You sighed. Putting up with the pain longer than anticipated.
A midst your pain, you somewhat failed to realize that both Ace and Grim were getting scolded by Crowley. And for a good reason.
"You both! You both come into this school to learn and start a new chapter in your life. Yet after all you've done to get accepted into this school, you decided to hurt another! That's unacceptable. That burn is gonna leave a scar. Ace, First year, Grim, First year—as punishment, you both will be wiping 100 windows. Each!", the headmaster practically hissed, because he was pissed!
Word could go through that he wasn't taken proper care of his only female student. The reputation of his could be in grave danger if anyone posted this!
"Mrs.Universe, let's go to the infirmary, you need proper treating this instant!", the headmaster pushed you along to go to the infirmary.
You held your burned hand gently, looking slightly down onto the floor whilst walking, you couldn't bother looking into anyone's eyes right now. Ignoring the whispers of students, as quickly as you came—you left.
Not long after, you arrived into the infirmary. The headmaster talked with one of the ghost-nurses. Leaving you be to yourself for just a little longer. You sighed, sitting on one of the infirmary beds.
After Crowley had his talk with one of the ghost nurses, he let you be, and the ghost nurse tended to your wounds. However that very same nurse blinked when he saw you. Then blinked again, remembering you were the special student everyone had been talking about.
"...Any more wounds you might have besides the burn wound?", he asked.
You thought for a moment.
"No, just the burn wound, thank you for asking though.", you gave a small, grateful smile.
"Alrighty kiddo, you can rest here for a bit, the healing balm you took is still pretty unusual for you, no? Yeah, it stings a bit on the wound but it'll eventually go away no worries kid."
You nodded silently. The ghost gave you back a smile, and let you be. This world was oh so different from yours. Ghosts, magical academies, magic, even new species.
Yet no traces of gems. You guessed you just might be the only gem on twisted wonderland. Lunch eventually came by 15 minutes right after. And you where able to go grab you stuff from your locker, your lunch box,
Despite being new to this world, you were fortunate enough to be able to work in Sam's shop after a Staff meeting. You didn't mind at all. He and You both were vining in all honesty, it may have been a bit awkward at the start. But you like to believe things had gotten a bit better now.
And on your merry way you were to go eat lunch in peace. And grab grim. You hummed to yourself when suddenly someone bumped into you. You and him both collided unexpectedly!
"Ouf.."
"Sh–"
The person you bumped into fell onto the floor. And you almost following him to it, if you hadn't catchend yourself in time. You blinked multiple times, and looked down on who the person was.
It was a...hyena beast man? Dirty blonde hair, a slightly messy uniform, and his food wasted on the ground. You felt bad.
"..Are you okay? I'm sorry about making you drop your food.", you offered a hand up for him.
He rubbed his head. Looking up at you, maybe with even a slight hint of fear, no, he was on guard. He stayed on the floor for a few more seconds, before trusting you enough to help him up.
Your hand held his with a firm yet gentle hold. It didn't feel forced, or hurt from how strong someone could hold another. Or maybe you were just...squishy? To him at-least...
"...Again, sorry about bumping into you.", you slightly frowned.
"Nah. 'S fine, ya didn't do anythin' 's was me.",the hyaena boy muttered. Looking down at his wasted food.
You opened your lunch box, taking one of your sandwiches. And handing it to him. It was neatly wrapped in a tissue. It smelled of all kinds of goodies and nutrients.
"You can have one of my sandwiches, I probably wouldn't be able to finish all two of them either.", you gave a little awkward chuckle.
The guy hesitantly took it into his hands.
"...Thanks.", he muttered. The sandwich felt warm. A few seconds after, he took a bite from it, his ears shot up. He froze for a moment.
You got a little worried. "Is.. is it not good? Ah, I'm sorry–
"It's better than good.", he interrupted her. Taking more bites out from the sandwich.
All the good juices of meat, veggies and mixture of the toasted bread and a sauce was—was peak sandwich!
You chuckled.
"I can make you these sometimes if you want?", you offered. Sitting on a bench, he sat with you, still munching on the sandwich, saving each bite.
He slowly turned to look at you, and gulped. "What's the catch, missy?", he asked emediantly.
"Ya just can't offer good sandwiches without makin' the other think there isn't a catch. So what's the catch, missy?", he gave a slight side eye of suspicion.
You blinked. You just wanted to make friends. Were you untrustworthy?
"..."
"..."
You looked at each other in silence.
"..can I pet you sometimes? You honestly look so fluffy, sorry.", you began to stifle a laugh.
"A ah!— wait what? Come again?"
" Oh you heard nothing.", you teased lightly, looking away, chuckling.
"..two..", the hyena guy mumbled. You turned your head to look at him.
"Two minutes..", he mumbled. He was gonna get good sandwiches, and you can let your weird animal petting obsession to use. It was a win-win.
"What the– Yuu what are you doing?!", Ace and Grim took both a double take. Getting whiplash from what they both saw. And a new guy was with them too, blue hair, and a spade on his eye. He looked like he was on a partner look with Ace.
There was a awkward silence, two boys from heartslabyul, a fire breathing cat goggling their eyes at you and the savannaclaw student. Who was practically chilling and vibing, eating a good thick sandwich, and letting go of his pride to be petted by a girl.
But to be fair, that sandwich was good! A free meal!
"I love petting him, I'm thinking of making sure everyone gets headpats one day.", you spoke with determination, your eyes sparkled dangerously.
Everyone around you had to take a double take on what you just blurted out so casually.
