The Summoning of a Multi-ghoul

Bonding with Aether (maybe)

Aether's eyes widen, and his ears perk up slightly as he understands what Multi just put his hand over. "You.. you two were mates..?" He asks in slight disbelief, propping himself up on his under arms while his eyes focus on the faded and nearly invisible scar.

The Multi-ghoul nods in response and lets out a small sigh, his eyes glued to the ground.

"Oh.. I'm so sorry.. I didn't mean to open any old wounds.." The Quintessence-ghoul quickly apologises as he sees how hurt Multi looks.

"I- it's okay.." The Multi-ghoul replies, a slight tremble becoming more audible in his voice as he talks. "You didn't open any old wounds.." He adds, his voice getting more quiet while the trembling in it becomes more presence, and his eyes start to get blurry with tears.

The slightly shorter Ghoul feels his heart sting as the other starts to tear up but continues to try and discard the fact that Aether's words did bring up some memories that seem to hurt. He can see how Multi tries not to let his pointy ears drop and keep his tail moving, to try and seem not as upset as he actually was.

The Quintessence-ghoul sits up and holds his arms out to Multi, who looks at him for a few moments before giving in, getting up from the ground and flopping into Aether's arms, not trying to hold it together anymore. The Multi-ghoul's ears drop and his tail goes completely limp on the floor while tears start to roll from his eyes and down his cheeks, until they drop onto the slightly shorter Ghoul's shirt, a small sob slipping from his lips while the other Ghoul hugs him tightly and rubs his back. "Shh.. it's okay.."

"I just.. miss him.." Multi tries to speak, his voice being shaky and slightly muffled as he buries his face into the Quintessence-ghoul's shoulder. "So.. fucking.. much..."

Aether stays quiet, holding the taller Ghoul while rubbing his back and running a hand through his hair, making sure Multi knows that he is there for him and that he doesn't have to continue keeping his guard up.

Half an hour later, Multi slowly calms down. His breathing gets more steady, and the tears get less until they slowly stop, yet he doesn't let go of Aether. His hand has a secure grip on the Quintessence-ghoul's shirt, and his tail is wrapped around the other Ghoul's right leg.

The slightly shorter Ghoul doesn't seem to mind this at all since he continues to rub Multi's back and continues to soothe him.

"Feeling better..?" Aether asks when the Multi-ghoul looks up at him before burying his head back into the other Ghoul's chest. "Alright.. take your time.." The Quintessence-ghoul mutters with a weak smile while patting Muti's head.

Eventually, Multi's body stops shaking, and the tears dry on his cheeks. The soft and silent sobs are being replaced with gentle purring, and his body relaxes against Aether. "Thank you.." He murmers into the slightly shorter Ghoul's shirt while unconsciously grazing his nails over the Quintessence-ghoul's side.

"Ofcours.." Aether replies as he gently pulls up the other Ghoul's head. "Wanna talk about what happened..?" He asks in a gentle tone, making sure that Multi knows that if he doesn't want to talk about it, they don't have to.

"Not yet.." The Multi-ghoul mutters in reply while sitting up and wiping the dried tears off his cheeks and chin. "Maybe sometime.. but not now.."

The slightly shorter Ghoul nods, understanding that these memories must be too painful for the other to just talk about them. "It's okay.. you can come to me when you're ready.."

The corner of Multi's lips twitch up in a small smile, and his tail starts to move again ever so slightly. "Thank you.. I appreciate it, banana boy.."

Aether's expression turns deadpan as he hears the nickname. "Banana boy?" He asks while looking at the taller Ghoul with raised eyebrows. "Way to ruin this wholesome moment."
