It took a bit for the crowd to calm down. As Miss Kasike spoke up, though, the people were quickly hushed. Not too long after, as the next participants were called in, the purple tiefling, the one who had been with Wynn the entire time, was one of the two to rise. His name was Kyzer, as Wynn called him, which the board agreed with. Not only him, but also someone from the Fynlone mage squad. It was the woman with long pink hair and a scar on her neck.
They both, much like Steven and Arty before, descended into the arena, and took place upon the red circles. Neither of them spoke a word. The Fynlone mage, who's name was Sascia Narrie according to the board, had a spear with her. She slammed its end down onto the ground, leaned it against her body, and started waving her hands in the air. Olivia wasn't quite sure what it meant, and the crowd seemed to be just as confused, so she bumped Steven's shoulder to see if he knew the answer.
Steven, who had been trying to calm his nerves after his first fight, was just stretching as Olivia bumped him. Thus, he rubbed his neck as he tried to observe the fighters on the stage for a bit.
"It's sign language," he concluded.
Kyzer grinned at it, and looked to have recognized it as well.
"Alright," the tiefling said. He stretched his hand out. Inside it, a red-blackish smoke was forming, and quickly expanded into the shape of a spear much alike to Sascia's. A moment later, the smoke dissipated, and had formed a proper spear with a sword's blade on the tip.
"A yari," Olivia could hear Kaya share with Ariana, both of which were seated right behind her and Steven.
Kyzer spun the weapon around in his hand and rested it on his shoulder. "Now you don't have to feel bad. We both have weapons! Picked this baby up here in Arena!"
"Well then," Miss Kasike's voice boomed through-out the arena, "If the fighters are ready; set... and go!"
At first, both Sascia and Kyzer didn't move. They simply looked at one another. Then, they both started grinning at each other. Another moment passed and they both started moving towards each other. Sascia held her spear close to her body with both her hands and as still as she could. Kyzer, meanwhile, was holding his in only one hand and spinning it every now and then. Olivia believed he might be thinking about the best way to land the first blow, but he could also just be showing off.
Then, right as they were about to clash, Sascia stopped in her tracks, and sprinted right instead. Kyzer only hesitated for a moment but chased her to the edge of the arena. That was, until she jumped off the stage and snapped her fingers.
In the blink of an eye, Kyzer and Sascia had switched places. While she was now comfortably standing on the stone platform, the tiefling was however above the out of bounds sandpit. Though how desperate it seemed, in the second Kyzer had to react he moved his body back and slammed his spear into the stone platform. He grunted as he slammed into the side of the rock, but with a strong grip he managed to hang on before he touched the sand.
Sascia tried to move in to stop him, but Kyzer jumped back onto the platform with an annoyed, but almost impressed glare.
"Save," Miss Kasike's voice said, the crowd going wild in response.
"That was a cheap trick," Kyzer articulated. Then, his spear disappeared, and the red smoke formed in his hands once more. This time, it turned into a giant greatsword. One even someone as big as Kyzer needed two hands to wield.
"Teleportation," Ariana asked behind Olivia.
"No," Steven answered. "I think there's bigger limits to it. She could have used it way better if it was just teleporting things."
