KARASI | CHASE
ATLANTA, GA."YOU CAN PUT THEM RIGHT HERE." karasi broke the silence, referring to the yeezy slides he was slipping off his feet. he placed them on the tile that trapped the front entrance while she did the same.
karasi sighed at the silence and darkness of her home. the 2 didn't talk in the uber, and to be frank she was regretting even going with him in the first place.
they knew practically nothing about each other except their names. he was a stranger to her. a stranger she'd gotten in a car with, leaving her family for.
the boy shoved his hands in his pockets. "we jus' gone chill here, or what?" chase spoke up. she just flopped onto the couch, "yeah, i mean.. ion got my jeep" she shrugged.
he just nodded and joined her on the couch, the other side of course. karasi picked the remote off the coffee table with a sigh. "you tryna watch something?" she asked softly.
he turned to her and nodded, "it's whatever. you can put on what you like." his words made her smile as she navigated to Disney+.
che itched and scratched his arm, forcing karasi to investigate the noise. she followed his fingers and looked at his wrist, setting her eyes on a small tattoo.
"you gotta tat?" she asked him, reverting her attention back to the tv. he nodded, "yeah on some chill shit.. small but it still itch like fuck" che replied.
she pressed on the cover that said Ratatouille and placed the remote back on the table. "i want to get one, but just like a flower or some small. i feel like my pain tolerance too low" karasi giggled.
the beginning sequence of the movie began to play, "it ain't hurt that bad, but ion know how people be gettin' full sleeves in 1 session though" he laughed along with her.
both of their eyes turned forward to the television. at this point, both of them knew that the conversation was over. che was still in the ending parts of his previous high, but karasi was fully sober now.
hence why she kept her replies minimal.
he looked around the spacious living room. he'd been online friends with don and tavious for 2 years, until he transferred to jhs a few weeks ago.
his rap career was getting too known in the smaller town he went to school in before, so his mother decided to transfer him to a more inner city high school.
it didn't help though, as he was still recognized, but it was better than the previous school. he still lived 45 minutes away though.
unlike karasi, a movie about a rat cooking did not interest him that much, so he took out his phone. his face saddened when the screen became grey, "Your battery's at 20%" looking back at him.
he patted his pockets then remembered; he put his backpack back in karasi's car because he thought she'd take him home after the party.
a "mane, fuck" left his smacked lips, causing her to turn to him. "what is it?" she asked in curiosity. he held up his phone again, "my shit almost dead. y'all gotta charger i can borrow?"
