In the heart of a bustling city, Elena Beaumont's life changed dramatically after a tragic accident left her vulnerable and unwittingly exposed to the supernatural. Kidnapped from her hospital bed by a mysterious man seeking to satisfy his thirst for her blood, Elena found herself trapped in an inescapable nightmare.

Weeks blurred into a terror-filled haze as Elena served as a vessel for her captor, witnessing horrors that shattered her grip on reality. Fate intervened with the arrival of Neo James, a dark and enigmatic billionaire CEO with his own secrets. In a twist of fate, Neo rescued Elena from her tormentor.  As a royal vampire, he could have easily healed her but there were paparazzi outside the house he rescued her from, so he had to leave her in critical condition.  Turned out the paparazzi found out whose daughter she was and didn't know he was involved until he carried her out and placed her in his car to bring her to Hospital.

Elena just woke up in her ICU room.

Neo, her rescuer, looked at Elena with intense eyes. "Elena, there's something I need to tell you. Your lineage... it's not ordinary. You're a pureblood, and that makes you both a target and a prize in our world."

Elena, confused and taken aback, replied, "A pureblood? What does that even mean? How am I a part of this hidden world?"

Neo took a deep breath, his expression serious. "It means you come from a line untainted by the darkness that consumes the rest of us. Your blood has power—power that many would kill for."

Elena felt a mix of fear and curiosity. "But why me? Why now?"

Neo stepped closer, his voice filled with urgency. "Because your presence disrupts the balance. There are those who will stop at nothing to possess or destroy you. And I..." He paused, struggling with his emotions. "I can't let that happen. I won't let that happen."

Elena's eyes searched his, finding a mix of determination and something deeper. "Is he insane?" she thought.

"I am telling the truth. I know you have no reason to trust me."

"Thank you for saving me, Neo. I'll forever be grateful." Her eyes teared up, thinking about the torment she went through. "I am trying to cope now." She looked at her bare arm where the knife had cut her several times.

"Don't you remember what he did with your blood?"

"Please. Just—" Images of her captor drinking her blood like a predator flashed through her mind, making her shut her eyes in horror as if shutting them would stop the images. ''I'll not tell anyone that you're not human yourself.''

''I will not hurt you, Elena.''  He promised.  ''You are safe now.  My guards will protect you even if I can't be here.''

They were interrupted by Elena's father, a shrewd businessman well-acquainted with the shadows that lurked beyond human perception, aware of the debt owed to the enigmatic Neo James. And her stepmother, who harboured ambitions to entwine the destinies of her own daughter, Natalie, with the dangerous allure of Neo James.

"Thank you for saving my daughter, Mr. James." Mr. Beaumont stretched out his hand to shake Neo's.

Neo accepted the handshake, his grip firm. "It was the least I could do. The perpetrator has been on a watch list for a long time."

Elena's stepmother, with a calculating smile, added, "We are grateful for your intervention, Mr. James. Perhaps we can discuss further arrangements to ensure Elena's continued protection. After this happened, I realized that both my daughters needed professional protection."

"My company doesn't offer those types of services, Mrs. Beaumont. As I mentioned to your husband while we waited outside the theatre, I found her by accident. The criminal owed me money, so I went to collect."

Mrs. Beaumont's gaze moved to the open door of the hospital room where a few personal bodyguards were stationed. "You always go with so many bodyguards, Mr. James?"

"I've placed them here for your daughter's sake." Neo turned to Mr. Beaumont. "Do you have any enemies, Mr. Beaumont?"

Mr. Beaumont looked guilty. "I do. Unfortunately. The police won't let me see the man to determine if I know him."

As Neo, Mr. Beaumont, and Mrs. Beaumont spoke, Natalie walked in. Her entrance was nothing short of grand. Dressed in the latest designer fashion, she wore a stunning silk dress that clung to her figure, adorned with sparkling jewellery that caught the light and drew every eye in the room. Her heels clicked confidently on the floor as she approached, exuding an air of self-assured elegance.

"Natalie," Mrs. Beaumont called out, her face lighting up with pride. "Come meet Mr. James, the man who saved your sister."

Natalie's eyes sparkled with interest as she extended a perfectly manicured hand to Neo. "Mr. James, it's a pleasure to finally meet you. I've heard so much about you," she said, her voice smooth and honeyed.

Neo accepted her hand, his grip firm but polite. "The pleasure is mine, Miss Beaumont."

As he observed the interaction, Neo couldn't help but notice the stark contrast between the two sisters. While Elena appeared fragile and vulnerable, still grappling with her recent ordeal, Natalie exuded confidence and control. It was evident that Natalie was the daughter her parents favoured, the one they doted on and admired.

Natalie turned her attention to Elena, her expression softening only slightly. "Elena, I'm so glad you're safe now," she said, though the sincerity in her voice seemed strained.

"Thank you, Natalie," Elena replied, her voice quiet and measured. She couldn't help but feel the invisible barrier that always seemed to exist between them.

Mrs. Beaumont spoke up again, her eyes fixed on Neo. "Mr. James, perhaps Natalie could benefit from your guidance and protection as well. She's quite accomplished in her own right and could learn a great deal from someone like you."

Neo's expression remained neutral, but he sensed the underlying motive in Mrs. Beaumont's words. "My focus is on ensuring Elena's safety, Mrs. Beaumont. However, I am always willing to offer advice when needed."

Natalie's smile widened, but there was a glint of ambition in her eyes. "I'm sure we could have a lot to discuss, Mr. James. After all, we both have a lot at stake in this ever-changing world."

Elena felt a pang of unease. The dynamics in her family had always been complicated, and now, with Neo's presence, it seemed they were becoming even more so. She couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead and how she would navigate the treacherous waters of her newfound reality.

As the conversation continued, Neo's resolve to protect Elena strengthened. He knew that amidst the hidden agendas and complex relationships, his primary goal was to keep her safe and uncover the truth about her lineage.
