i'm currently at my house just chilling listening to music in my airpods loud. i had a really rough day today, not really trying to talk to anyone. Just found out my whole life has been a lie.
My boyfriend of 2 years just broke up with me for my childhood "best friend". And that same bitch was talking shit about me to everyone. So now everyone thinks i'm a fake person who always plays the victim to everyone's problems.
And on top of all that, i'm an influencer. So when everyone saw the rumours she spread about me, I had gotten a lot of hate comments from a lot of people.
i honestly cried my heart out for like an hour, refusing to speak to anyone. But then i realised, why cry over it? they lost me, and that is their lost. i know i'm enough and i know my worth, so there is no point in crying over it.
As I was listening to music and reading a book, my favourite song started playing and I put my bookmark on the page I was on and started dancing in front of my full body mirror.
Dancing is, honestly, one of my favourite things to do. it helps to clear my head because i get so stress and when I'm dancing, it's just me and the music and nothing else.
i had been dancing since i was 3 years old and by the time i was 5 years old, my mom had signed me up for hip hop dance classes.
i loved them so much that I continued dancing on the side without telling anyone because they thought that dancing would never put food on the table. So it was basically my little secret.
I was freestyling to my favourite song, moving my hips to the beat and lip syncing the lyrics in front of my mirror. i had forgotten what had happened today and was lost in the music.
After the song ended, another song started playing and i just catch myself dancing to it aswell.

i'm at home just scrolling through Instagram when I see i've been tagged in something. it was a post of Brianna's best friend and boyfriend together and they looked like they were a couple.

i honestly couldn't believe that Brianna's best friend would do that to her. i needed to see her, just to make sure she was ok. she was my best friend after all.
i quickly got out of bed and grabbed my keys since i was already dressed, slipped my shoes on and rushed to my car.
luckily, she didn't live far from where i lived so it was a quick drive. there was a nearby mcdonald's drive thru so i ordered us some food and went to her house.
i parked the car and quickly got out with the food. since we spend so much time together, we each gave each other a key to each other's houses so we can go in whenever we like.
i unlocked her front door and walked in. i called her name but there was no reply. maybe she wasn't home? i went up the stairs to check if she was up there.
i saw her room door was slightly open and i heard her faintly singing. i opened it fully and saw her dancing. since when could she dance?
she was dancing so gracefully, i was honestly mesmerised. i had never seen her dance before and she looked like she had been doing it for years.
i just stood there and watched her dance, not taking my eyes off of her. she literally took my breath away. when she had finished, i started applauding her.
(Brianna POV)
i was dancing to a random song that was in my playlist, singing along and forgetting everything that had happened today.
this is why i loved dancing. it really helped me to clear my head. once i had finished, i heard someone applauding. i quickly turn around in fear to see Sharky standing in the door way with mcdonald's in his hands.
"sharks! what are you doing here?" i asked.
"hey, i saw what happened on insta and i came to cheer you up. so i brought mcdonald's for the both of us and i thought that we could watch a movie." he replied, shaking the mcdonald's in a playful way.
i chuckled before replying "yeah, sure. that sounds great."
we sat down on my bed before opening the mcdonald's.
"one question though." sharky said.
"yeah, what's up?"
"since when could you dance?!"
i started laughing before saying "um i've been dancing since i was 5 and i've been doing it in secret ever since."
"why?"
"because it was my own way to clear my head and i didn't really want anyone knowing about it."
"don't worry, you're secret is safe with me." this is what i love about sharky, he listens to you and understands your point of view.
"ok, so what movie are we watching?" he asks me.
"we are watching tangled and i'm not taking no for an answer." i say as we both laugh. he puts on the movie and we cuddle as we eat in a best friendly way of course.
Sadly.
Wait, what? No, i can't be falling for my best friend. Can i?
We had finished our food and watch the rest of the movie.
i feel my eyes getting more tired as we get to the end of the movie until eventually i gave in and fall asleep.
(Sharky POV)
Me and Bri had finished the movie. Well, i had finished the movie since Bri had fallen asleep. i got out of bed to clean up the mess.
As i had finished cleaning up, i tucked Bri into bed and gently kissed her forehead. i went to leave but Bri had woken up and grabbed my arm.
"Sharks, stay please?" She says in a low voice. i sighed before climbing into bed and wrapping my arms around her. i kissed her forehead and we fell asleep.
