It was tense in their bedroom, to say the least.
They both had their back firmly to the other, neither wanting to cave into the yearning they felt to just turn over and snuggle in the other person's arms.
Firey and Leafy were too stubborn.
They had gotten married over a month ago and this was their first fight as husband and wife.
That made things a little more complicated.
Would it be okay to just act like nothing had happened or because they were married did they have to apologize even more.
Neither of them were sure of what to do so they decided to just sit there in a nerve wracking silence and try go to sleep.
The fight had started for a very stupid reason, as most fights do and they fell victim to pride.
It all started when Leafy wanted to use the soap that was normally kept in a small soap dish on top of the sink but to her surprise she couldn't find it anywhere.
She looked in all the cupboards and shelves she thought it would be and grew more and more irritated and frustrated when she still couldn't find it.
Firey watched her confusedly the whole time, she never told him what she was doing or asked for help so he just stayed back and let her do whatever she was doing.
After she had essentially torn the bathroom apart searching for the stupid thing, she gave up, grabbed her car keys and stormed out to head to the store.
To make things worse, she hit her shin off the car door earning her a painful bruise and when she got to the store, the usual soap was not in stock so she had to pay more than the usual price.
She went home totally pissed off and after she was finally able to use the soap she had gone to the effort of buying she flopped down on the couch with a scowl and scrolled on her phone.
Firey had offered her coffee but she turned it down, she was too ticked off to actually enjoy anything at that moment so she kept her focus on her phone, not wanting to take it out on her husband.
A little while later, Firey went to the bathroom and was confused when he saw there was a fresh new soap on the shelf.
"Hey Leafs, why did you buy more soap?" He called as he walked out to the living room.
"I couldn't find the old one anywhere so I bought a new one to replace it," Leafy said, looking up at him.
"It's just in the cupboard though," Firey replied, raising an eyebrow.
"No, it isn't I checked, multiple times," Leafy sighed.
Firey walked over to the kitchen sink and opened the cupboard underneath and pulled out the old soap so he could show her.
Leafy stared for a few moments before she took a deep breath to calm herself.
"Firey,"
"Yes?"
"Why on earth is the soap in the kitchen cupboard?"
"The bathroom cupboards are already organized so I put under the sink instead," Firey shrugged.
"I literally drove all the way to the store and because I couldn't find that damn thing!" Leafy groaned.
"Is that what you were going crazy over earlier? Why didn't you just ask me where it was?" Firey questioned like it was very obvious.
"Why would I ask you? You never know where anything is," Leafy scoffed.
"You still should have asked me before jumping to a stupid conclusion!" Firey glared.
