Like I said, heads snapped. I immediately slumped in to my seat, Ava reached over and pat my head. I knew exactly the sympathetic smile she was giving me. I knew I was gonna be in the office for at least an hour. Like every time I'm called down, it's for something so unbelievably stupid!

I slumped out of my seat and grabbed my bag. I shuffled to the front and left the classroom, eyes following me. I shut the door behind me and debated my options.

I could either one; go to the office. Or two; run.

I seriously thought about what I could do. I groaned and stormed my way to the office.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Miss Alexander. Sam. It feels like we've been here before, no?" Mrs. Stevens said. She held that annoying fake smile on her face to try and make me admit to whatever (LIE) she had against me.

"I guess we have. Did I do something or can I go back to class?"

Mrs. Stevens gave a half laugh and closed her eyes in annoyance. "I was notified by one of our lovely dorm heads that you were spotted walking around after hours." She reached under her desk and pulled out a big foot quality photo of me walking around.

"It was Hattie Collins wasn't it?"

Hattie goddamn Collins, the biggest snitch on the planet. Total suck up, teachers pet, the worst.

Mrs. Stevens scoffed. "Yes, Miss Collins was the head who made the report and that is besides the point Sam. You were caught after school hours out of bed and strolling around the grounds. I am giving you 5 demerits and 2 weeks detention." "Mrs. Stevens that isn't-"

"Ah ah! Hush child. Normally, if you were any other student with a clean record here, it would just be the 5 demerits! But since this is your 6th time here in my office, 2 weeks detention. Go to your dorm and finish out your school day there please."

I stared dumbfounded at Mrs. Stevens. This was ridiculous! My fists were clenched into my palms, leaving a mark from my finger nails. I stood up and shoved out of the office where Ava was waiting for me with her prize winning smile.

"You look happy...!" She said. I put my head down on her shoulder and groaned.

"Oh yea I'm absolutely blooming with positivity." I picked my head up and we started down the hallway towards the dorms. I explained the dumb punishment I was given and Ava agreed how ridiculous it was. "I swear she just hates me. There is no other explanation!"

We decided to take a little detour and walk around outside, I wouldn't get in trouble because it was school hours so... take that Mrs. Stevens.

"I don't think she hates you, I think she... I think.. No she hates you." She tried to somehow defend all the demerits on my record, but it was impossible too. "Do you think you're gonna go home this summer? Have you called your mom yet?"

I rolled my eyes, "Doubt she'd even want me home. Even if I did call her she wouldn't answer me.... oh look it's Stevens."

It was like Mrs. Stevens just materialized in front of us. That cocky smile said that I was again somehow in trouble.

"Miss Lischént, you aren't in class. You should be in your math class right now, not out here wandering with Sam." She pointed past our heads and back to the main school building. "I think two fifteen year olds should be capable of understanding authority."

Ava suddenly tensed up, she never was really bothered by Mrs. Stevens. Her entire demeanor shifted, she took a slight step back and put a hand on my shoulder, gripping at my sweater. She looked a little scared.. I didn't trust it, something was wrong.

"Mrs. Stevens.. uh what did you say your first name was?" Ava asked. She was still pulling me back towards her. Mrs. Stevens' vibe felt very threatening.

"Oh! Tisiphone, Miss Lischént."

Mrs. Stevens started to prowl forwards, I heard some ripping and some demonic looking wings sprouted from her back. With every step she took, a new different part revealed itself. Claws, yellow ish eyes, fangs, you name it.

"What in the fresh mcfucking hell is happening!?" I screamed. Ava spun me around and grabbed me by my tie and took off running. I dropped my bag and kept looking back at whatever the hell Mrs. Stevens had turned into as she followed us. Ava started screaming back at me,

"Sam! We take mythology right! All the stories there, are true! Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Chiron, all of it is true!"

"What!? Are you crazy!?"

"No! I'm not! Remember last unit, when we were talking about how the Gods go down to Earth and all that!"

"Yes of course I do! They go down and have kids with mortals! Ava what the hell are you saying!?"

"They're called half-bloods, Demi-Gods! That's you!"
