In the dimly lit bedroom, the faint glow from the moon streamed in through the window, casting a soft luminescence on Estela's face as she lay on the bed, her thoughts consumed by the image of Elijah. His face lingered in her mind, vivid and haunting, his intense gaze replaying in her thoughts like an unbidden memory.

Restless, she rose from the bed, her movements silent as she padded over to the window, drawn to the night sky. Standing there, her silhouette outlined against the moonlit backdrop, Estela leaned against the windowsill, her arms folded tightly across her chest.

Outside, the world appeared serene, the night blanketed in a tranquil silence that contrasted with the turmoil within her. Her mind raced with memories, each detail of Elijah's face etched in her thoughts. She couldn't shake the intensity of their encounters, the weight of his presence lingering in every corner of her mind.

Estela's steps echoed softly across the polished wooden floor as she entered the living room of the Salvatore home, her eyes falling upon Rose, who sat by the crackling fire, looking worn and fragile.

"I was born in 1450, that makes me 560 years old," Rose spoke, her tone heavy with the weight of her age and the weariness that came with it.

"Well, if you were a bottle of wine," Damon chimed in from beside Estela, attempting to lighten the mood.

"Not funny," Estela nudged him playfully as she moved closer to Rose, her eyes scanning the room before picking up a blood bag from the side table.

"So I can die. I've lived long enough," Rose spoke with a sense of resignation.

"If you're gonna be maudlin, I'm just gonna kill you myself, just to put me out of your misery. Come on, it's just a little werewolf bite," Damon quipped, trying to inject a dose of his characteristic sarcasm into the situation.
