Chapter Five

Trey POV

Nicki hasn't been talking to me much these past days. I would go to the studio everyday and she'd stayed home. This evening was different though. We had a red carpet appearance to make. She hasn't said a word about it and I know Latto will be there as well.

Lysa has been texting me everyday and checking on me. Nicki used to do that but she hasn't done it for a week now. I sat down in the living room frustrated. Nicki was in the guest room getting her outfit fitted.

Nicki Minaj POV

"Nothing seems to even look right." I was frustrated because we've changed over ten dresses now and they all show off my stomach.

"Wait Nicki we have two more that's we didn't bring. I can rush to get them." These stylist are working on my nerves. I'm sure it will be more skin tight dress.

"Yes ,please hurry up."

I still haven't told Trey about the pregnancy and he doesn't seem to notice any changes with me so there's no reason to tell him anyways.

I sat and scrolled through my phone wondering how long they'd take. Trey hasn't been around much but he insisted that we attended the awards together. He even said our outfits had to be pink.

Mulatto POV

Trey and I were texting about the awards. Apparently his theme is pink. I wanted to be petty and wear pink as well but none of the gowns in front of me were pink so I decided on black and blue.

"So I'm seeing you after the show?" I giggled to myself reading that message. Thought he'd be too occupied for me.

"I can maybe make time for you"

With that we stopped texting. This was a fancy red carpet. Everyone was dressing up.

Narrator POV

Time has rolled in for the red carpet. Everyone was slowly pouring in. It's been a while since most persons had attended such a red carpet. Some thought it was too extra while others dressed for the part. Eyes, cameras and fans lined the carpet watching the celebrities walk the carpet.

Pretty soon all the lesser know celebrities were inside and it was now time for the A listers.

The crowd grew anxious as time was passing and the carpet was close to being shut off without any signs of Nicki or Trey. It's been months since their last public appearance together.

As they were about to lose hope, it was announced that Nicki and Trey has just arrived. They looked happy, the rumors of a breakup quickly were shut down.

Trey even gave Nicki a few kisses and they took lots of photos together. Latto was already inside socializing. Her eyes locked with Trey as soon as he entered the room.

Trey spotted her and walked towards her direction with Nicki beside him.

Trey Songz POV

Nicki and I decided to appear as the perfect couple for the paparazzi since a breakup rumor has been circulating. She wanted to meet the folks I've been working with, which included Latto.

"Hey Latto, this my lady the one and only Nicki Minaj." I said it quickly because I wanted this to be a short introduction.

They shook hands and exchanged greetings then Nicki saw JT and exited the conversation.

"You're looking marvelous." I mouthed it to her to not draw attention then I left to join JT, Dave and Nicki.
