Chapter 1

There she is, sitting across the cafeteria laughing at something her boyfriend said. And here I am watching the girl of my dreams from afar, like I have been for the past three years now and she doesn't even know I exist.

It's quite sad actually, but I don't really mind. I mean, if I get to stare at Lauren Jauregui every day then its fine. Perfect actually.

Lauren Jauregui, head cheerleader, valedictorian, the most popular girl in school, and also the most beautiful in my opinion. Others would agree, I have seen boys and even some girls slip love notes into her locker and when she passes through the halls everyone stops and stares at her beauty. Her thick long hair, bright green eyes, sparkly smile, and curvy figure captures everyone's attention.

A sad sigh escaped my lips when I see her lean down and plant a small kiss on her boyfriends lips. Ugh, that lucky bastard.

Ryan Pierce.

They are the 'it' couple, like the teen couple you see in the movies. The head cheerleader and the star quarterback. Ryan is hot I guess you could say tall, muscular, dirty blonde hair and very blue eyes.

What I don't understand is why Lauren is dating him. He's not the smartest guy around, heck I'll be surprised if he even graduates this year. Lauren is the valedictorian straight A student and she's dating an idiot, it makes no sense to me.

The bell rang signaling it was time for first period, Lauren held her boyfriend's hand as they got up to leave followed by the other most popular kids in school.

Ally Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Blake Johnson, Kyle Phillips, Maia Mitchell, and Lily Collins

Ally, and Normani are pretty nice but Blake, Kyle, Maia, and Lily are mean. Especially Maia, I don't know why... I think she has something against me.

I sighed, grabbing my book I forgot I had opened in front of me, and put it in my backpack and threw it over my shoulder as I went to my first period.

The rest of the morning was boring and went by pretty fast. Being a senior I only have 5 periods (Calculus, Chemistry, Language Arts, Lunch and Gym) all in that order right now it's lunch and afterward I have gym.. Which sucks.

I walk through the lunch line to get a chicken sandwich and chips, the school lunch isn't as bad as everyone says, it's actually pretty good.

I thanked the friendly lunch lady who handed me my food and began trying to find an empty table. Unlike everyone else in school, I have no friends that go to this school which means I sit alone at lunch.

An empty table in the corner of the cafeteria is exactly where I head to, when I sit my stomach immediately grumbles and I dig in right away.

My phone buzzes in my pocket. I swallow and wipe my hands on a napkin and slip my phone out of my pocket and check out a new message.

I smile when I see a text from my best friend, Dinah.

Dinah: UGH MILA!! I regret waking up this morning

Me: What happened this time?

Dinah: I can hear the sass from all the way over here -_-

Me: I'm sorry China! But rly what happened?

Dinah: First I woke up late and didn't have time to fix my hair so it looks like a rat's nest. And now I just got my Chem quiz back and got a 20 percent on it and the morning just started :((

I laugh, wow.

Me: you should just come here so you can spend the night at my house and we could go to school together and I can tutor you in Chem
