Lunar with his flashlight had practically dragged Castor out into an open field, a singular hill in front of them as Lunar climbed it.

Lunar stopped halfway to let Castor, who was slowly walking, catch up.

Castor remembered that Pollux would usually tell him to hurry, but Lunar didn't. It was quite strange.

But, Castor appreciated it.

Finally, the two were on the top of hill. Lunar sat down as he laid his flashlight on the ground. He looked up at Castor, who still stood.

"You don't have to stand." Lunar said.

"I don't like sitting, it means I have to be still." Castor said.

Lunar started rocking and then stopped to wiggle his arms.

"What are you doing?" Castor asked.

"Moving. To prove that you don't have to be frozen in place to sit." Lunar countered.

Castor nodded, sitting beside Lunar, "Why did you bring me here?"

"I thought you'd recognize this place." Lunar said, looking surprised.

Castor looked around, humming in thought until it hit him.

This was the place Lunar technically first saw him and Pollux. Lunar had projected his thoughts to their conversation, which had brought their attention to him.

Castor looked to Lunar, "This is where you eavesdropped on me and Pollux." He said,

"You guys were talking about me." Lunar said with a smirk.

"Eavesdropper." Castor said, pulling Lunar's hat over his eyes, making the animatronic laugh.

Lunar then returned his hat to his normal state, picking up the flashlight and turning it off to reveal the sparkling stars in the sky.

Castor's eyes widened, lips parted in a 'woah' shape.

Lunar watched his face, this was honestly the first "real" emotion that Lunar got.

Castor was in awe of the stars, he'd never known that he looked like this in the sky. A glowing twinkle of light that shined in the sky. Lunar held his hand, Castor gave a hum in acknowledgement.

"Why do you like holding my hand?"

It was true, Lunar would take almost every chance to hold Castor's hand. Training or just random bonding moments like this.

"Do you want me to stop?" Lunar asked.

"I asked a question first." Castor replied.

There was a pause.

"I like it because it's comforting." Lunar said.

"Why don't you do it with others?"

"Nuh-uh. You answer my question now." Lunar tsked.

"...No, I don't necessarily want you to stop. It's a little weird, but it doesn't make me uncomfortable." Castor said.

"Now to answer your question. I don't do it with others because..." Lunar paused, "Because I prefer doing it with you... It's special to me."

"Holding my hand is special to you?" He was confused, why would that be special to him?

"Yeah! I... You're my very good friend, Castor. If you're ever uncomfortable by my touch, you'd let me know right?" Lunar asked.

"Yes, I would. You know this." Castor said, nudging Lunar's shoulder with his.

Lunar then got upset and wrapped his arms around Castor, resting his chin on Castor's shoulder.

Castor froze up, he knew what this was: A hug.

He had heard from Pollux that you should return the hug, but he didn't exactly know how. Did he just copy what Lunar was doing?

And so he did, wrapping his arms around Lunar.

The hug made Castor feel... Lighter?

Like he was walking on the clouds in the sky.

It felt nice.

It felt safe.

It was comforting.

Just like how Lunar described.

"I like this..." Castor whispered, giving a tight squeeze to Lunar.

Castor couldn't exactly see Lunar's face, but the tight squeeze back said enough.

Lunar liked this too.

It was the same with him.

Castor felt his face get warmer.

"Castor! You're glowing!" Lunar said, the two separated as Castor looked at his hand and sure enough, a soft glow was emitting from hus sparkly skin.

"How...?" Castor muttered, turning his hand front to back, he even looked at the other hand to make sure he was seeing things correctly.

"What does it mean when you glow?" Lunar asked.

"...We glow when we experience extreme happiness... But I don't know how I'M doing it." Castor said.

"Seems like you can feel emotion, maybe it's just harder to express for you?" Lunar suggested softly.

Castor looked up at him, a hopeful look appeared in his eyes. He then looked away, looking to his hands again.

"You're so pretty when you glow." Lunar said with a wobbly smile.

Castor blinked, unsure if he heard it correctly, "What?"

Lunar's face turned red and he looked away as he stuttered, "I mean-! I just-!"

Castor felt warm again and the glow got slightly brighter.

"...thank you..." Castor said quietly when he processed this.

Lunar started to smile, nudging himself closer to Castor.

He leaned his head on Castor's shoulder, humming a little song.

Lunar couldn't help his feelings, it felt like it was bubbling up. The warmth of Castor and his glow, the way Castor rested his hand on top of Lunar's and leaned his head on Lunar's head.

Lunar felt his fans whir, he sighed peacefully.

Soon enough he fell asleep.

---

Castor had been looking at the stars for a while, letting Lunar sleep. Until he heard a voice,

"Am I interrupting something?"

Castor turned his head as the glow vanished.

"Yes Nebula?" He questioned the messenger.

"You have a message." She said.

"Okay." Castor said, "Read it."

"They say to hurry up. Lunar's star power has been off the charts." Nebula said.

"How? He hasn't even been using it." Castor said, deeply confused.

"Strong emotions activate them, right?" Nebula asked.

Castor's mouth opened and shut.

"Libra also has a... Private message for you." Nebula said, giving Castor a letter in his lap.

Then Nebula vanished.

Castor sighed and opened the letter to feel his heart drop.

'Stop getting so close to Lunar, Castor. You know what happened last time.'
