Melody's POV:
"Rog, please!" I huff, my fists balled at my sides.
"Mel, how many times do we have to go over this? You are interviewing those Australian rocker wannabes in a month and that is final." Roger cut my begging dead flat with the same insult he always uses towards the boys, waving his hand about as if to dismiss me, going back to his desk work. Asshole.
"Please, Roger, you know better than anyone that I love them, you can't make me-"
"I can and I will, Melody! Now go back to your 'dressing room' and begin preparations for the interview. You need to start digging up dirt and finding out whatever you can to bring them down." With one last little glare up at me, I realized that Roger wasn't going to give up on this.
"Yes, sir." I sigh, taking my high heeled ass towards the door, swaying my hips sassily. I want him to know I'm mad.
"Mel, wait, I'm sorry, I know I can get a little bossy sometimes, but-"
"You're my boss first and my fiancée second, I get it. See ya at dinner." I smile fakely at my handsome husband-to-be, ignoring his overly-serious brown eyes and tight lips, leaving his office quickly.
I know he loves me, he always has and he said that he always will, but....sometimes I feel like he really is just my boss and I'm just that air head that's feeding off his success.
