Hermione's POV

It has been about a week since Draco had surprised me with a beautiful engagement ring with the sweetest proposal ever. I am currently watching Harry and Ginny's boys while they have a night out in Diagon Alley. I mean, we all obviously know what will happen, which is why I took James and Albus for the night.

As I was watching James and Albus play on the carpet, I couldn't help but think of how my future with Draco would turn out. I closed my eyes and thought about the future.

7 years later (I will explain this at the end of the chapter)

Hermione's POV

I was watching my six beautiful children and step-children play a board game on the floor of their rec room as I waited for Draco to come home.

It was at this moment that I realized two things: I never told any family about the engagement, marriage, and the fact I have six children; also, that I have the perfect life as it is right now.

*Back to present time*

I walked upstairs to Draco's study to talk to him. I knocked on the door, not trusting my voice.

"Come in my dear, you don't need to knock." I walked into his office/study and sat on his lap.

"We need to tell our families about the engagement soon. They will get angry if we don't tell them sometime soon." I told Draco while mentally preparing myself for telling them.

"Love, I think that you're right, I know my mum will be absolutely ecstatic that she will be getting a daughter-in-law, you know how she has always wanted a daughter." Draco explained to me then kissing my lips softly afterwards.

"Draco? What if my parents don't accept the engagement? What if Pansy returns after we announce the engagement to your mum? I know your mum well enough to know that she will obviously tell Pansy. What if I'm not Malfoy material? Will I be judged if I'm not considered a true Malfoy? Will your mum accept the engagement? Will Lucius know?" I continued talking until Draco chuckled at my rambling, kissing my cheek, making me relax instantly.

"Relax love; if they don't accept the engagement, it's their loss. I am engaged to the most beautiful girl that I have ever met. She has the most beautiful brown eyes and brown hair. If you looked up the definition of a perfect girl, you would see a picture of her. Hermione, that girl is you. Well, Lucius already knows since he is dead. I would rather spend the rest of my life with the woman I truly love and have been disowned, than have my family approve and have an unhappy marriage with anyone but you. Their opinions don't matter, as long as we have each other." Slowly, he leaned in and connected his lips to mine in a sweet, love filled kiss.

After changing out of my work clothes, I put on my muggle outfit which consists of a pair of acid washed jeans, a graphic t-shirt with a muggle singer named Michael Jackson, and a pair of popular muggle shoes called Converse.

"Draco, I don't think I will have the courage to tell my family about the engagement, they will surely be infuriated because I am a muggle-born and you're a full blood former Death Eater." I go on while tightly holding on to his sweater sleeve.

"We've been over this Hermione. If they're mad at us for loving each other, it's their loss." He explained to me, then kissing my cheek, instantly making my anger dissipate.

(Still Hermione's POV)

I knock on the door with my left hand, hoping that whoever opens the door doesn't notice the engagement sitting comfortably on my left ring finger. I let out a soft sigh when my mother opens the front door.
