As Arman and Aravos walk into the forest, Arman starts to wonder why this man had decided to help him. He could see none of the man's features and could not figure out where the man hid his weapons. He only saw a dark outline of a tall skinny man. Arman repeatedly tries to talk to the man, but gets no response. Soon, the man says "Öffne die Türen zu Galath Nalore."
As they continued to walk forward, the air seemed to shimmer, and bend around them. As the air continued to shimmer, and bend, a surprising thing happened. The forest seemed to bend into the shape of a door, with inscriptions in an unknown language. The stranger says "Welcome, to Galath Nalore, the city of elves" Arman looks around, wondering, "How is this possible?"
The forest was full of houses, or what looked like houses. They were green, like a leaf that had just finished growing, and the smell, oh, it was wonderful! Like a beautiful flower that has just come into bloom, where no decay had yet touched its delicate blossom. There was no smell of the manure, or other animals he had grown up with. But even more astonishing, is when the man took off his cloak. He was tall, and lean, and had sea-green eyes that seemed to draw attention to all who saw them. Or, they are all staring at me. Arman thought that this was the actual reason people looked their way. Of course, he was in a new place, and he was always stared at when he went to unfamiliar places.
"Welcome to my home. I am Aravos, as you already know. I am to lead you to the other pure ones. But be warned, as some elven people may not welcome you and try to kill you without knowing who you are. I know you have many questions, and all will be answered after you meet the others."
"Elves? You expect me to believe that all of these people are elves?! This is madness, pure folly! You take me to a little village in the middle of nowhere, tell me nothing, and you wish for me to trust you?! I should leave right now before any harm..."
"No harm will befall you, Arman.
Arman decided to trust the man, but did not have any clue what to do. Then he realized that Aravos was walking away to a tall building that seemed to be made out of vines and other vegetation. As they entered the building, Arman realized that the inside was made of wood.
"Welcome to the Mirith Tirith building, where we store all of history, time, and space that both humans and elves discover. It is also where we keep the Pure Ones safe, and train them to use their powers for their own purposes, not the Dark Mans."
Arman realizes that Aravos was talking to him.
"Wait, can you tell me why I am here? I mean, it is a beautiful place, but with these questions running around in my head, I am afraid that I cannot take in all of its beauty."
"That is exactly what the others said. I promise, they are as confused as you, seeing as though we had to put them on sedatives so that they didn't burn this place to the ground. Their powers are more advanced than yours, but with time, you will be able to turn back time itself." replies Aravos.
"For now, we shall meet the others and start training."
As they walk, Arman thinks about running away, but then decides that if the elves had wanted harm to befall on him, they would have left him with the demon. Aravos opens a door with a rune on its face.
"The runes mean 'Othala', or 'pure'. We had this room specially made for the pure ones to be contained in case of an emergency, like this one."
"Can you explain now? Or must I wait for the answers to the questions that crowd my mind?"
"Patience Arman. After we introduce you to the others I will explain what you have been brought here to do. Meanwhile, stay here. It could get explosive. We do not need you getting hurt before you can play your role."
As Aravos enters the room, Arman catches a glimpse of what is inside. He sees a long corridor that leads to a pair of giant metal doors. Arman sits on the floor, and waits.
