(Okay, so tell me if there's any problems or anything you don't like about the one-shots. I'll be just fine with fixing them, as long as you don't act like a little smart-ass five year old. Thankies.)
Walking around a barren, bleak, ice ridden land, you were really freezing your ass off. "Okay great. Why I am I even here?"
You threw up your hands in frustration, even though it didn't do anything worth-while.
A while back, a strange letter had suddenly slapped you in the face, asking you to meet up in Wales. It had taken a few Vikings to help you from your area in the Netherlands, to take you there. You did have to pay them in mutton though. Some really good mutton.
(Just go with the Viking thing. This is in about AD 1200. Just go with it. Plus Wyverns usually live in colder areas, usually in Wales.)
So while dealing with your freezing toes, and wondering why you didn't ask the Vikings for some bear skins. You wandered, calling out for whoever sent the letter.
A loud screech rang out from a plateau, causing you to turn towards it. A large green, thing was standing on top of it. You started to back away, and it didn't move. It only stared.
Your eyes widened in fear, then squinted, seeing as it only got down. And that's all it did.
"Cannot speak human as well as dragon. Better than Drake."
You stared. It could talk?!
"Wyvern talk. Drake whines." It stepped closer, its spines and teeth being too close for comfort.
"Human afraid? You think we eat tiny flesh?" You nodded.
It let out a hearty laugh, its large smooth head reeling backwards. Unfortunately for you, you got a good look at its teeth, which dripped with venom.
It faced you once again, letting you be able to climb on its head.
"Human not built for cold. I shall talk later in warmth."
It quickly flew into another area filled with large rocks, which surprisingly had some sticks. You quickly lit a fire, with a piece of flint found on the other side of the floor.
The wyvern sat down, attempting to be dainty with the area around you.
"So why did you send me that letter?"
It looked at you surprised. "You guess?"
"Yes, by telling by the way you speak."
"You know why I call you here?"
"Not really.", you said, shifting about to get comfortable around the fire.
It sighed, "I lonely. I filled with sadness. I only one for miles."
You looked at it with a somber feeling of empathy. "I think I can understand that feeling. Being lonely. I know it all too well."
It looked down at you, its wings curling around its body, as if in some sort of comfort. "We quite alike human. Name? Human have name, right?"
"(y/n).", you told it quickly.
"Pleasant. Like it. Call you that."
You smiled at it. The beckoning of sleep became too strong for you, and you laid down. Your eyes shut, while the venomous reptile kept close watch.
