Can you remember and humanize?
It was still where we'd energized
Lie in the sand and visualize
Like it's '75 again
We are the people that rule the world
A force running in every boy and girl
All rejoicing in the world
Take me now, we can try
I can't do well when I think you're gonna leave me
But I know I try
Are you gonna leave me now?
Can't you be believing now?
I know everything about you
know everything about me
Know everything about us

Lacie's pov:

Ah, the soft hum of Felix's dorm room. I find myself seated on the edge of his bed, a place that's become all too familiar. The faint scent of old books and cologne lingers in the air, a comforting aroma that's uniquely Felix's. I've just finished texting Nina, her words still echoing in my mind, leaving me thinking what the groups gonna do today. I place my phone on the nightstand, its screen casting a dim light in the room.

The bed is unmade, a testament to Felix's busy schedule of late-night study sessions and sex. I start to straighten the sheets, the fabric smooth under my fingertips. The room is quiet, save for the distant murmur of other students in the halls. It's a peaceful solitude, a moment of calm before the storm of another weekend at Oxford. I can't help but feel a sense of anticipation, a thrill of what's to come. After all, life here is anything but ordinary.

As I stretch my sore body on the bed, I can't help but think of my friends, especially Nina and Olli, my besties. I wonder what Nina's up to, if she's doodling equations and pondering physics like she usually does during or after lectures, or even getting absolutely pounded by our friend Evan, who knows. I smile at the thought, finding comfort in the familiarity of it all. I love how close we all are, life is so perfect. I'm just a simple woman trying to make my way in this universe, navigating the complexities of life and friendships. But for now, I'm content, ready to drift off into a piece in the heart of Oxford.

As the morning light seeps in through the blinds, I'm up and about, ready to embrace the day. The room is alive with the promise of summer, the air warm and inviting. Felix stirs, his sleepy eyes blinking open as he takes in the sight of me getting ready.

"Morning, Lacie," he murmurs, his voice still heavy with sleep.

"Morning, Felix," I reply, flashing him a bright smile. "Ready to make the most of this beautiful day?" I giggle.

He chuckles, stretching as he sits up. "Always. What's the plan?"

"Well," I start, pulling on a light summer dress. "I was thinking we could spend the day exploring Oxford. Maybe have a picnic by the river, visit the museum, just soak in the summer vibes ya' know. What do you think?"

Felix grins, clearly excited by the idea. "Sounds like a perfect day to me. Let's do it."

The conversation flows easily, a testament to our friendship. We chat about our plans, our hopes for the day, the anticipation of summer adventures filling the room. It's moments like these that I cherish, simple and sweet, a reminder of the beauty of life. I'm just, navigating the twists and turns, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
