The guards stood above the balcony as they stand in front of the entrance of the palace, "This is gonna be hilarious." The voice of a cheeky 13 year old girl said as she held a black bucket of water as it leaned on the balcony. " Madeline, what do you think your doing?" The girl quickly turns around as a voice came up behind her. "Marigold! Uh.. What are you doing here?" Madeline asked the girl in front of her as she put the bucket on the ground. "Whatever your trying to do, stop it. It'll most definitely get you in trouble." The girl says as she shouts at the other standing in front of the balcony. "Ugh, fine.." "What's going ?" Their father comes in through the open doors with a confused expression on his face. Madeline's eyes' widened as both her and her sister turn around to face a tall man who looked like the both of them. "What are you two doing?" "Umm..nothing!" "I found Madeline gazing at the blue sky." Marigold says without showing and trace of lying. "Very well then. Make sure to come down for supper." Their father walks after he says as he walks out of the balcony back into the office huge castle. "Thank you so much-" "Save it! I'm done lying for you, why can't you just stop causing trouble?" "I'm just having fun!" You always try and ruin the fun by butting in!" "I'm not, I'm just trying to protect you from trouble." "Well maybe I don't want to? And I don't need your protection." Madeline says as she walks inside the palace and starts walking inside the castle as her face is full of anger. Marigold sighs and walks inside the palace the palace to her room. Both the girls aged as time went by. They had long black hair with the same hair style which was a braid but with Madeline, it was more of a bun. Marigold wore black round glasses as it made her look smart and academic whilst Madeline's face didn't have any. They both looked alike as they were sisters, they're skin was as clear as a clear blue ocean. They may have looked alike but they sure had different personalities. Madeline was playful, cheerful and would go where the wind took her. Marigold on the other hand was serious, smart, and stayed out of trouble as much as possible. Although she hadn't lifted her lips up to smile in a matter of years. She hasn't gotton over the loss of her mother as she hasn't been happy In years, her heart was a empty void as she never thought to find happiness again as she thought her mother was her one and only. Ever since her mother died, her only duty was to watch out of Madeline. She does so many things that put her in trouble. One time, Madeline was caught at overaged party which but it was hidden from their father as he would be over the roof. Marigold sometimes can't take it whenever she causes the trouble but as her mother always said. 'Look out for your sister.' and Marigold kept that written on her empty heart. Marigold walked through the magnificent castle as it had beautiful architecture and huge paintings on the wall full of her ancestors and a man who looked different from the others but her dad has spoken of this mysterious man but she always forgot as she didn't care about it. At the age of 6, Marigold was diagnosed with three disorders. OCD, Autism and dyslexia, but third was th div biggest one. No matter how many tutors her father hired, they never left knowing that she made progress. One day, Marigold gave up on the dream to be able to read and write, She was hopeless. she headed she opened the door and closed it inside. Inside was a large bedroom seeming to belong to her, the room was themed as the colour Red, the bed, the carpet, the objects nettle sat around the room, everything red but the walls. Then Marigold walks over to a dark brown looking desk made out wood in the corner of the room, There on the desk was squared black jewel box and Marigold grabbed it slowly. She opened the box and inside was a white Pearl bracelet. The pearls were clear and not a trace of dirt was found. some of the beads were replaced by a tiny golden cross as it always stood out whatever she would look at it. "I miss you, Mother.." Marigold says as she kisses the bracelet. She slowly closes it and puts it back on the desk, tears slowly came down Marigold's eyes but she quickly rubs them off with her her blazer's sleeve. She goes over to a book shelf full of old and dusty books in the room, she then organised the books from big to smallest as she was so concentrated on making the books aline. After she's done, she sits by her window, looking out onto the beautiful landscape of her father's. Her father was the king of the country, many people hate but many like him because of his work. He's friends with many any people his level but he secretly hates them. He was always such a intimidating man when it came to other people. But with his family, there was always a kind side to him. After the queen died, he hadn't been the same, he kept working so much that he never had time with his daughters. Marigold resents him for it, as he never had time for her and her sister but deep down, she still had love for him. Deep inside, locked away, as the key was thrown away.
