Third Person POV

Paisley had been off.

She had been off for a few months lately, but he had noticed it more in their few weeks in Miami. She hadn't been doing the things that she would normally do with the group like drinking, and she got tired and irritable quickly. She had the oddest cravings like pickles and peanut butter, which wasn't anywhere close to normal. And for someone who didn't like seafood, she was sure craving a seafood boil almost every two days.

To add insult to injury, Cameron felt as if Paisley had been hiding something from him, but he couldn't understand why. Paisley had never kept anything from him, but here she was, hiding something from him and he could tell. She was distant and she would barely allow him to touch her. It was like she was pulling back from him, and he couldn't understand why.

All of these things kept him up at night, and it was beginning to catch up to him. As hard as he tried not to think about it, the thought always found a way to creep into his mind and take over, making him obsess over it; exactly like he was doing now.

He and a few of the guys: Josh, Stefon, Corey, Nic, and Jordan were working on planning a special dinner for the girls that they would soon be surprising them with before their summer vacation moved from where they were in Miami, back to New York. While the guys were discussing various ideas, Cameron was staring into space trying to piece together what could possibly be wrong with Paisley.

Was she getting bored with their relationship?

Was she seeing someone else?

Did she realize that he wasn't good enough for her and had emotionally checked out the relationship?

Was she planning on ending things with him?

The thought of all of these possibilities made a thump well up in his throat and caused his stomach to form into knots. Paisley was his world. She had walked into his life when they were teenagers and changed him for the better. Paisley was part of the reason why he was the man he is today. What would happen to him if she ended things with him? He knew that he wouldn't be the same if Paisley left him. He would lose every single bit of drive and passion if Paisley walked out on him.

"Earth to Cameron!" Josh says, snapping his fingers in Cameron's face.

Cameron blinked and turned his attention to Josh. "Umm, yeah? Sorry," he says. "I got uh–."

"Distracted?" Nic scoffs. "Yeah, we know. It's been happening every thirty minutes now."

Stefon nodded in agreement. "Yeah, man, what going on?"

"Yeah, bro, you've been acting as if someone shit in your cornflakes or something," Jordan says as he bit into a pretzel.

Cameron sighed, his shoulders slumping and an exhausted look crossed his face. He ran his hand down his facial hair and shook his head. "I'm fucking spiraling man," He admitted.

Stefon, Josh, Corey, Nic, and Jordan exchanged concerned glances before turning their attention to Cameron. They had known that their friend had been a bit under the weather, but they didn't realize that it had gone this far to the point that he was spiraling.

"What's going on?" Corey asks, setting the planning binder down.

Cameron let out a breath through his nose and shifted uncomfortably. He hadn't been one to talk about his feelings with the guys, he left that to the rest of them. He preferred to only open up to Paisley and just help the guys with their issues, but now the roles were suddenly reversed and he felt unbelievably out of place.
