Everyone had just arrived at school when Miss Donovan called to attention.

Miss Donovan made the announcement.

"Yay! A new student is coming to our class!"

Miss Donovan said the name of the new student.

"Emerald Green?!" exclaimed Charlie Brown.

"Good old Emerald Green!" said Peppermint Patty.

"Emerald Green..... Where have I..." Tommy wondered.

Then, it hit him like a stone to his head.

"Oh no, not her!" Tommy groaned as he sank from his seat, fearing for the worst.

"Tommy?" Heather said.

Heather looked over at Tommy's desk, noticing him sinking.

"Tommy?"

Heather walked over to Tommy to find out what was wrong with him.

"Tommy? Is everything alright?" Heather asked her Australian friend.

"Emerald Green! She and her friends like to make my life miserable." Tommy said.

"Oh. I hope whoever this Emerald Green is changes her ways." Heather said.

Soon, the classroom door opened, and in walked a tall brunette girl with her hair in a high tomboyish ponytail, and was wearing a deep green shirt, a deep green skirt, white socks, and black Mary Jane shoes.

"Oh no. She's here!" Tommy shrieked.

"G'day, everyone! My name is Emerald Green."

"What's she doing here?!" asked Tommy.

"We just came in from Australia." Emerald explained. "After hearing from Tommy that he would be moving to America, I consulted with my folks and they decided they liked the idea of moving to America. Well, time to take my seat."

"Hmm..... Emerald. She looks awfully....." Charlie Brown pondered.

Then, Charlie Brown remembered the day he and the rest of the Little Folks went over to Australia.

"She's bound to make my life miserable too." Charlie Brown sighed.

"So that's why Tommy fears her." Heather figured.

Emerald went to find her seat.

"Please don't sit with me. Oh, Sparky! Don't let her be my desk partner!" Tommy begged.

But Tommy was out of luck.

"Hello, Tommy." Emerald said deviously.

"Oh. Hi." Tommy said solemnly.

"Looks like we're desk partners, Tommy." Said Emerald.

"Whatever you're up to, Emerald, leave me out of it!" Tommy said.

"Whatever I'm up to? Don't be such a blockhead, Tommy! I wouldn't do that kind of stuff, especially when in America!" Emerald lied.

Tommy wasn't convinced. He had to wait until Emerald proved she had changed her ways first.

"Right now, let's focus on our school work."

The school day was over, and Tommy was walking out of the building. He had been fearing what Emerald planned to do with him. He decided to go the psychiatry booth. Since it was a weekday, Lucy was there.

"Lucy?!" said Tommy.

"Tommy Halverson. So what seems to be the problem?" asked Lucy.

"You know the girl who's just arrived?" asked Tommy.
