Everything is going to be alright, nothing is going to mess me up. I'll be fine, they won't come back for me, it was all some—some high school bullying, nothing serious. I hold my head in my hands and I feel my breaths get shallow, all I want is a normal life. I don't want to hide bruises and scars again.
He rolls over in bed. "Leo? Are you okay?"
I heave a sigh. "I'm fine, just thinking."
"If you didn't want me to be here when you woke up I ca—"
I put my hand in his and look at him. "Christian you're the first guy I've had stay the night, it was nice and...I wish I could feel that safe all the time."
His eyes show worry but I'm too drained to hide from him.
