1-Kingdom of the Cave

       In the depths of the western Wales' Celtic Rainforest was large rock. At first, it might not sound so interesting. You might think 'oh, it's a rock in a forest. There's plenty of those'. But it was no ordinary rock. This rock blocked the entrance to a cave. A cave that leads to a whole new world, completely different from the world we live in. A whole new realm.

Once you enter this cave, you're entering a new realm. The kingdom of the Cave. It's fascinating. Everything about this realm fascinates me. The cotton candy sky during the day and the starry sky during the nights, the villagers and their way of living, the animals that you only see in books and movies, mutant people, hybrid people, royals, castles, cottages, unicorns - well maybe not unicorns but you get the idea. 

       I'm Aubrey Ashford, I've been living in this beautiful gem of a land for the past 15 years. Folksdom is home to over 120,000 people, fairies, merpeople, hybrids, werewolves, elves, dwarves and sirens. I'm an elf if you're wondering, my whole family is. The kingdom is ruled by the Fazeworths who have only one heir. Their daughter, Melany Fazeworth. They rule the realm since they are the only family of Gods in this land. 

I haven't yet told you about my favourite part of Folksdom. It's the Iotheom Folksbury Highschool. Iotheom Folksbury Highschool is isolated from the rest of the realm, in the midst of a cherry blossom forest. The forest has all sorts of - what humans call mythical - creatures. Students are transported there with carriages and we all live in our own dorms there. This year, I turned fifteen. This year is supposedly the most stressful since they'll teach us about humans, creatures, controlling and/or training our powers for the first time.  

Did I mention how thrilled I am? Sure, it'll be quite the stressful year but discovering my powers and learning to control them - it's exciting to say the least. Honestly? Saying I'm excited would be an understatement. First of all, I can finally meet my friends after a year of quarentine. No one quite knows why they put us in quarantine in the first place. 

     Naturally, people made up many obnoxious theories. Some were good and reasonable but most were... unpleasant to say the least. Some theories include that The Welkens - they claimed a spot in the sky as their kingdom, or you could say they are the kingdom of the sky - threatened to attack us. And I heard that they are much - much more powerful than we ever have the chance to be. Hence why they put us in lockdown, to protect us. It was boring year to say the least and I certainly hate being home schooled. It's just study, homework, study, eat, homework, bathe, study, sleep, study - you get the idea. 

Anyway, as I was saying I'm extremely thrilled to go back to school. I mean - what could possibly go wrong? After one year of lockdown, I, an elf, go back to school with no idea or control about my abilities. I'm just your average 15-year-old elf, am I not? I'm pretty confident about this year, hopefully I'll make more new friends.

Whatever comes to hit me this year, I'll handle it. Like I always do.
