Birth
In the beginning, there was Mother. From her, dust, planets, light, and heat were born. From the waters, life emerged from Her tears. Life swam in the waters at peace with one another. They could not see, nor hear, nor smell. They need no senses to hunt, for they were sufficiently fed by Uncle Light.
One day, a tiny life form developed the sense to hear, and she heard the whispers of Mischief, "Do you not desire to become the strongest amongst your sisters? Do you truly wish to remain small like everyone? Do you not hunger for more power beyond the one I have just blessed you with? Show off this new power I have gifted you. Flaunt why you must stand above everything!"
This tiny life form used her blessing of hearing, to hear another swim towards her, and thus, the first hunt was born.
Hunt
The first huntress became bigger and bigger with each life she consumed, until one day, she stopped hunting. Mischief, curious as to why his entertainment has been paused, asks the little huntress, "little brute, why have you stopped hunting?" She explains to him that she is bored of killing. He nods in understanding, "I see you desire a challenge." He blesses other life forms with hearing so they too can hunt and pose a challenge to each other. When they became bored, some were blessed again with the ability to see. As life grew hungrier and Mischief's desire for entertainment grew stronger, life evolved to become stronger and stronger. Some grew teeth, some grew claws, some left the waters to crawl on land, some left the land to fly through the sky. No one's hunger was satiated.
Life
Light confides in Mother, "Your grandchildren are no longer satisfied with what I can give them. They hunger for each other, and they fear each other. Their struggle for power is causing chaos and their screams echo through space. The homes You built for them are no longer sanctuaries of peace!"
Mother weeps and her tears flood the planets. Her sadness turns to planetary rumbling rage as she sees the source of the agonizing screams. Her voice sent storms through the galaxies, "Mischief! Out of all my celestial children, why must you trouble me so? My systems are imperfect already, yet you implant your selfish ways into my grandchildren causing them pain. Oh Mischief! My own pain is creating a cycle of destruction and pain. All for what?"
Mischief refutes, "Your creatures were in a prison of monotony, I just gave them something to do."
Mother huffs and winds blast through trees and rocks, "in order to keep the planets safe from my wrath, I will divide myself throughout the universe. Before I go, I will send down Love to the planets and teach my grandchildren to pair before they can continue evolving. I will create the refuge of death, so my grandchildren may escape to the waters and soils. And you, Mischief, I will damn you to Third Earth, where you shall witness the destruction of my grandchildren up close, and once they become intelligent enough to hear my whispers, you shall witness the destruction of the chaos you have created up close."
Hence, Mischief is eternally damned to Third Earth though he whispers to its creatures to help him reach his celestial siblings again. Although Love teaches many creatures to pair and make peace to continue life, the hunger started by Mischief continues to lead to their folly.

Book of Mother
FantasyLore for a matriarchal religion believed by a fictional community of people living in an alien planet in a distant future. I might write another story where a few of these mystical characters make a reappearance.
