A few hours later I woke up to silence and darkness, laying in a bed hooked to all these different machines.

I looked around, I saw Ghost's eyes widen as I woke up then went back to normal. He cleared his throat.

"How.. how long have you been there." I asked, my voice dry, quiet, and sounding exhausted.

"Doesn't matter." His breath hitched slightly and he sighed softly before getting up.

"I guess I should tell the doctor your awake, huh?" He went next to my bed and stared down at my body and me.

"You fucked up the whole mission just so you know." He whispered before opening the door and signaling a few doctors inside. I groaned and closed my eyes for a few seconds. Great.

The doctors put some things off me and some new things attached to me. They told me it was the middle of the night. I felt exhausted and guilty, a gett wrenching feeling when I looked down at my bandaged leg and arm.

Ghost just sat in the corner of the room, when the doctors were done they asked him if he would stay and he said yes. I looked back at him as the doctors left.

"I'm sorry." I whispered, opening my eyes the closing it back up again.

"Sorry doesn't fix my problems." He said in a low voice, sounding a bit tired himself.

"I can fix my problems I made." I whispered, barely audible.

"Fuck, with your arm and leg, I'm making sure your safe for now. No missions for awhile." He huffed out, sounding almost worried about me. That's new.

We didn't talk for awhile after that. I think he thought I was asleep because he started whispering something to me.

"I fucking hate you right now but I can't help but look after you." His deep british accent more noticeable as he groaned softly, not wanting to 'wake me. '

I didn't respond to his comment, I didn't open my eyes either. I already knew that he hated me, he always did ever since we had been working together.

"Bloody hell." He mumbled to himself as he saw my heart monitor speed up slightly, he probably knew I was awake.

He got up out of his seat again and went next to my bed, when the doctors were attaching things to me, they didn't fix my hair back so now it was all over my face.

Ghost brushed the hair out of my face with his fingers. My eyes were still closed.

"I've always wanted to do that to a dead man." He whispered as he started walking towards the door slowly.

I couldn't pretend anymore, I opened my eyes. "I'm not a man, and I'm not dead either prick."

He turned around, he knew I wasn't dead, he just wanted me to open my eyes. "Don't call the guy that saved you a prick, prick." He was leaning on the wall next to the door.

"Just.." I coughed slightly. "Stay here for awhile.." I glanced away from him. I couldn't believe I was asking my enemy to stay with me!

"Why should I? You've always been an asshole to me." He grumbled the last part to himself.

"No, you've always been one to me." I mumbled. "And because it just feels right.. since you saved me." I looked back into his eyes. He was only wearing a black baclavaia, a hoodie, and some sweatpants.

He grumbled slightly, hesitant before sitting back down, he rested his hand on the nightstand. I saw that he had a ring on his finger.

"Your married?" I asked looking back up at him as he looked down at the ring.

"No, just.. from a friend to a friend." He shrugged, not wanting to talk about it.

"Do you think you'll ever get married to someone." I questioned, bring bored and not able to sleep.

"Nobody is able to love me." Is the words that came out of his mouth as he put his hand down.
