delilah Pov:

i woke up to my daughter maya jumping on my bed. i groaned. i sat up and she smiled at me with her pretty blue eyes. she looked so much like her dad as a kid. "goodmorning mommy!" maya said smiling and hugging me.

"hi my maya!" i said kissing her head and hugging her back. "wheres nikki?" she asked. nicole or nikki, was my bestfriend since the 6th grade. we did literally everything together. she was also maya's godmother.

"she's at home, she'll come over later, right now tho. we have some errands to do today" i said. 

i got up and went to the kitchen i started cooking eggs and bacon. maya was walking around like every 3 year old does. "hey mommy?" she said. i  ignored her since i thought it was another nonsense thing she was about to rant about.

"mommy!" she whined. "yes baby?" i said giving her my full attention. "who's this ugly man?" she said pointing to a picture on my fridge. it was a picture of me and matt. "oh that's a friend.." i said. she nodded.

i don't know why my parents separated me and matt. they took away maya's father figure. i started tearing up at the thought of it. i loved matt so much. he would've been the best dad to maya. he only saw her for the first 6 months of her life. then my parents separated us.

i finished with breakfast and got both me and maya ready for the day. we headed out around 12:30. our first stop was putting gas. after that we went to a nearby target and did some shopping.

i was pushing the cart then i saw him. christopher sturniolo. i knew it. matt was there also since chris never learned how to drive so matt was the uber. chris didn't see me but i saw him. i finished shopping and saw him again. what the fuck..

we got home around 3:30 pm and it was time for maya's nap. while maya was asleep nicole came over. "guess who i saw" i said.

"who?!" she said. "chris." i said. jaw dropped. "did he see maya? did u say hi?!?!" nikki said pacing around the place. 

"no and no. i don't want to." i said. but deep down. i did. i wanted matt to see maya. i wanted maya to see matt. matt deserves every right to see his daughter. she has his lastname. he picked her name. 

"if i see him again ill do it but no promises.." i said. she nodded and we talked about our lives until maya woke up.

"nikki!" maya said running to nicole. "hii miss maya." nikki said hugging her. "my mommy has ugly friends did you know that?" maya said playing with nikki's gold necklace. "oh really. just friends?" nikki said with a smirk.
