Vincent stood by the track, watching Amara leave. His insides felt all tangled up, a jumble of feelings he couldn't sort out. Leaning against the fence, he ran his hand through his hair, trying to figure out how to deal with the mess Amara's return had caused.

Memories of their last talk flashed through his mind. He could still see the hurt in her eyes, and it made him ache inside. He never meant to hurt her, but things had gone wrong between them, and he didn't know how to fix it.

He remembered the good times they had, the laughs and secrets they shared. Losing her friendship hurt more than anything else.

When she came up to him, asking to talk, he felt torn. "There's nothing to talk about, Amara," he said, trying to sound strong, but feeling sad deep down.

But when he looked at her, saw the determination in her eyes, memories flooded back. He felt the pain of losing her friendship, and it made him feel all mixed up inside.

"You can't just shut me out like this," she said, her voice soft but hurt, making Vincent feel guilty.

Vincent felt torn but turned away, scared to let his feelings out. "I have my reasons, Amara," he said quietly.

As she walked away, Vincent felt awful, regretting not saying what he felt. Leaning on the fence, he felt a heavy sadness and wished things could be different. Closing his eyes, he hoped that one day, he'd find the courage to fix what he'd messed up.
