It was Halloween Eve, & Sonic had just taken Tails back from going late costume shopping at the nearest market.
The second the door to the shared home opened, laughter could be heard all throughout.

"Sonic, that's so mean!" He managed to get out in between laughs, clutching his stomache, along with the small bags in his hands.

"Yeah yeah, buts it's true!" Sonic retorted, grinning.

After the two finally calmed themselves down, they set down there bags.

"Yeah, maybe a little.." Tails chuckled, attempting to climb onto the table to get his costume out of his bag, excited to try it on.
He was quickly stopped when Sonic smacked his hands lightly.

"I don't think so." He smirked, eyes narrowing mischievously. "I'm pretty sure it's fine for you to go sleep, no?"
Tails whined, pouting as Sonic moved the bags away from his reach.

"But Sonic!" He whined, jumping up and down. "I'm still so full of energy! Come on, I just want to try it on!"
When Sonic was still refusing, he retorted to his secret weapon. He put on the best puppy eyes he could, looking Sonic dead in eyes.

"Pleasee?"

Sonic scoffed, dramatically covering his eyes.
"Ah!" He gasped, leaning back on the table. "No- I must.. Resist!" He whined, peaking to see Tails looking at him, still with a his puppy eyes.
"Ah, fine you brat." Sonic rolled his eyes, chuckling as he tossed the bag to Tails.

The two had Become extremely comfortable with each other in the past year, after Sonic had found Tails in the middle of a forest during a storm all by himself.
When he learned that he had no where to go, he couldn't resist, and took the two-tailed fox with him back to his home.
Originally, he was planning to give him to another home, but he had become too attached and ended up taking in the fox, and took to calling him "Tails", which was now his signature name.

"Yay! Thank you, Sonic!" He shouted, grinning even as he took the costume and ran up the stairs.
Sonic only chuckled and shook his head as he watched the fox slowly dissipate from his vision.

Miles' POV

As I ran up the stairs with my bag, I couldn't hide my excitement.
I was practically bouncing off the walls from how excited this made me.

The second I saw my door, my tails were already lifting and I practically launched into my room.
I couldn't help but giggle as I hit the floor of my room.
I quickly opened my bag, which contained a ghost costume. It was easy to put on, and in my opinion, was scary enough.
I grinned, slipping it on effortlessly. I looked over to the mirror, and spooked myself out. I was, unsurprisingly, a very jumpy person.
Although the material wasn't thick, it still felt hot in there.
I quickly ran to the window, using my tails to lift myself and open the it. The room immediately felt much colder.

"Tails!" Sonic yelled, immediately catching my attention. I took off my costume and set it down on my side table.

"Coming, Sonic!" I shouted back, quickly making my way out of the room, shutting the door behind me.

No ones POV

The second Tails reached down the stairs, he jumped up in surprise as he was jump scared by Sonic, who was wearing a silly online troll mask.
Sonic immediately burst into laughter as Tails cling onto the wall.
