They never really got to explore London; Stormie was simply too overprotective of her two children and just couldn't rid the jet lag without knowing that her precious makings were near her. She simply could not.
Stormie Lynch was a very proud and protective mother. Watching her five little kids prance around their basement and pretending they owned the room just lit up her heart. Ever since they were little, Stormie knew they were destined for greatness(if there was a little less cocky way to say it, please tell her). When her oldest child, Riker, told his family that he was going to move to California, she knew right away that she wanted to be with him every step of the way. He was gonna make it big, anyway, sooner or later, so might as well see it all happen in real life compared to on a screen?
When Riker got his role in a show called Glee, she was beyond thrilled. It wasn't like it was a major part, but he was taking his first steps of reaching his goal. Now, when Ross got his role, starring in a show, she felt equally as proud. Two of her babies were starting down that road that she'd predicted since they were little kids.
Then, it seemed like the universe was blessing her family again; they started a band! You see, with kids like hers, how could they not make it big? It was only expected. You couldn't find a more loving bunch of people when you met the Lynch's(except for maybe the Ratliff's, yeah, that was an exception).
It was beginning to seem like this world loved that group of people, because low and behold, they started playing gigs that people actually paid money to see! Them! To see them! This world just blessed them over and over again, it was beginning to seem like they lived a fantasty. But, obviously, no one loved that group of people more than Stormie Lynch herself.
Which is why Ross and Rydel Lynch never got to explore London like they wanted to. Not without Stormie, at least.
"This isn't even fair," Rydel huffed as she put her phone down after her call with her mother. "There were so many things I wanted to do!"
Ross paused from trying to get the last bit of hot chocolate to drip into his mouth and asked, "We only would've had an hour, there's not many things to do in an hour."
"There's plenty of things to do in an hour," Rydel crossed her arms over her chest. "An hour is a lot of time." Ross took a moment to answer as he tapped the side of the cup to try to get the chocolate liquid to drip faster along the turned cup.
"Oh please," Ross scoffed, looking at Rydel as he continued tapping the cup again. "All you wanted to do was shop and talk to all the guy employees. You were going to do all the actual tourist stuff with the others anyway."
Rydel's eyes widened a bit as she was caught in her act, for he spoke the exact truth. But she quickly changed her expression to one of irritation. "I don't even know why you're so not fun today. You're spending time with me! It's a great day to be alive, Ross Shor." His sister now had a cocky look as she pointed to her face with a big smile.
Ross ignored her actions and said, "I just don't get why you're so irritated with Mom. It would've been a pointless hour of 'shopping'."
"I'm not annoyed with her, I just want to feel a little bit more independent with the things I do," His sister shrugged, watching the last drop of chocolate fall into his mouth victoriously with a little 'YES!'. "Don't get me wrong, I love Mom with all my heart, we all know that. It's just sometimes I want to try doing things myself, even if it's as little matter as shopping for an hour."
Ross rolled his eyes at the words 'shopping for an hour', 'cause of course they wouldn't be shopping; they already went over this. "Well," He cleared his throat and threw away the cup(with a proud feeling in his chest). "We can't do anything about it, but maybe you should talk to Mom about what you just told me. Bring her breakfast too, butter her up." He chuckled to himself and mentally gave himself a pat on the back. He was one punny man, and he wasn't even trying.
The only female product of Mark and Stormie Lynch giggled a little as she caught on to the breakfast pun. Then her face turned to a thoughtful look. "I guess that could work," She then looked at him, eyebrows knitting together. "When did my little baby brother turn into a counselor?"
Ross rolled his eyes as his big sister ruffled his hair. He decided against raising a certain finger at her and just shoved her playfully, smirking as she tripped on a sidewalk cracking.
