Sal made his way to the basement with his electric guitar strapped to his back. He felt refreshed and awakened which he rarely ever felt. There were a few thoughts lingering in his mind he couldn't help but ponder on. Like if Fern or Brook were going to audition for the band. Or if there would be anyone there to audition. Those thoughts stayed in his mind as he made his way over to the elevator.

"Wait!" Someone yelled and he looked to see a boy with curly brown hair, light brown skin, green eyes and a guitar case slung over his shoulder. Sal knew him, he was one of the apartment kids he knew at school. So in kindness Sal kept the elevator door open so Shawn could get in. He was panting as he leaned onto his knees. "You alright?" Sal asked, knowing it wasn't the smartest question. But it was still manners.

Shawn wheezed as he leaned his back into the wall of the elevator. Shaking his head rapidly. "No! I'm late!" He said loudly, Sal raised an eyebrow. "Late to what, if I may ask?" Deep inside he hoped Shawn was going to audition for the band, wanting people he knew to be in it. After all it would be weird if they performed together and never talked.

It took a while for him to finally catch his breath and respond. Letting out a relaxed sigh. "I have auditions for a band here, and I'm late." Sal couldn't help but smile under his mask and chuckle. "Your not late, your actually an hour early." Shawn's face dropped as he looked at Sal in disbelief. All is rushing and panicking was a waste. He knew that Shawn wasn't happy with his morning events, Sal sighed and walked out the elevator to the old apartment that his step-mom Lisa and Larry used to live in.

Walking inside felt like deja vu, remembering all the times he would come over and hang with Larry. Listen to music in his room and be locked in there for hours. Those moments were things Sal cherished. Things he liked remembering, now he was making new ones. Ash and Todd were setting up a table with papers with music notes. A drum set in the living room where the couch was, a speaker for his guitar and a microphone.

"Looks good guys." He turned around to see Larry enter the room, Sal could tell he was having memories flood back into his head. It was gonna take a bit to get used to again. It was like the old was all new again.

The morning seemed to be moving slowly, and Brook didn't really like it. She wore brown pants with a coffee white sweat heart neckline cropped tank top, brown PLVTINUM jacket. Her dark brown converse high tops neatly tied, but a bit worn out. Her hair clipped up in a ponytail. Getting cereal from the cabinet. Fern was playing his game boy as normal. Matted messy hair, wearing baggy basketball shorts and white muscle shirt. For a 12 year old boy he was pretty fit and slightly muscular. But more of a twig still.

"You gonna audition for the band?" He asked looking up. Brook paused, turning around with a look of confusion on her face. "What now?" She had no idea what he was talking about. What band? There was none that she knew of in Nockfell. Why would there be one now? Fern paused and realized he never told her. Letting out a nervous laugh. "Oh yeah, forgot to mention Sal dropped of a flyer for the auditions." He gave a nervous chuckle, adding a small smile as he new she was gonna lash out. But Brook remained calm and took a deep breath. "You didn't tell me?" Her voice was a bit harsh but she held her cool.

Of course out of all people Fern wouldn't tell her a thing. Especially if it was something he new she would take interest in. "Sorry. I wanted to relax." He protested putting his hands up. An idea popped in Brook's mind that caused her to smile. "Get ready, your auditioning with me." The look on his face was priceless. A look of shock and disbelief caused Brook to grin. "You heard me." She said softly, going to her room and grabbing drumsticks.

It took a while before Fern was ready, since he planned on having a Lazy day. Brook was gonna make him pay for keeping the auditions from her. Once he was ready the two siblings walked out of their apartments and head to the basement. Slightly getting to know the other neighbors along the way. One lady didn't seem to like them, she was old and wrinkly. Messy and knotted ginger hair with a yellow tint in her skin. Smelled heavily like cigarettes. And she didn't seem fond of children.

As they made their way the Davidsons passed Mr. Addison once again. "Greetings Davidsons!" Mr. Addison said in a merry tone, through the mail slot Brook good see him smile. "Hello Mr. Addison." The two kids said in sync. Brook gave a gentle smile while Fern fidgeted with his bracelet, not daring to make any eye contact. Let alone even want to be in this situation. But it was manners and Brook knew they had to do the right thing. "Where you kids off to?" He asked curiously, she smiled warmly and cleared her throat. "We are heading to the basement. To, audition for a band." She said slowly not fully understanding if he would be alright with it.

But he just chuckled kindly, letting out a slight sigh. "I've always wanted to be in a band ya know? It always seemed so exhilarating and nostalgic. Always admired those musicians. The best of the best!" He said merrily. These words took a toll on Brook. But she stayed respectful and nodded. Fern listening as well but slightly not paying attention. "Well what are you kiddos auditioning for? Singing?" Mr. Addison asked Brook curiously. "Oh no, I'm auditioning for the drums. Fern is gonna do guitar." She saw her brother's head shoot up, gazing at her in disbelief. He was never the best at the guitar. And he didn't know which one she meant. Electric? Bass? Or Steel? There were many.

"Those sound fun. Good luck out there! And come by anytime for some tea. Only five bucks a cup!" He said kindly. Sticking his hand out of the mail slot and waving. The two kids did the same and went on their way to the basement elevator. Sighing with relief as they were out of ear shot. "Seriously does that guy ever leave his room?" Fern asked, Brook's foot meeting his ankle. "Ow!" "Don't talk so loudly. He's not the far off." Brook said in a whisper.
