"Paagal ho gaye ho Abhijeet!? Tumne yeh soch bhi kaise liya ke main apni beti tum jaise nikkammo ke ghar bhejunga! Aakhir kya soch kar tumne yeh faisla liya hai!"
A man looking like in his 40s, held the collar of the stud man looking the same age as him in front of him... The rage in his voice clearly measured. Afterall, why wouldn't he be mad?
"Baat ko samjh Raghav... Maine humesha tera bura chaha hai. Lekin Teri beti? Teri beti mere liye apni khudki beti ke samaan hai... Tu Jo karne Jaa rha hai woh sahi nahi hai! Meri baat maan... Yuvaan Vithika ka dhyaan-"
Abhijeet was harshly cut off by Raghav's low voice, "Jo insaan business ke liye apni family ko daav par laga sakta hai... Uss insaan ki baat koi kya hi sune!"
Those words struck like daggers in Abhijeet's heart. The look on his face was replaced with an hint of guilt... His past haunting him...
For the first time in just as old as these two dads will be, Abhijeet, the one who would always try to get on Raghav's nerves... today, is trying to help him. Help him out of the situation he doesn't know he would get into, if he doesn't listen to him...
But oh look how fate decides to play this time... The two stubborn men who would go to the ends of the world to show each other their superiority in business, after hours of neglectful convincing... came down to a life-changing decision. A decision of their own, what they are calling "the better choice", or at least convincing themselves to. The opinions of both of their kids not once kept in mind. Now let's put that on god... the rest shall always be his shaping in this fate.
(time skip)
Raghav enters in his big mansion, greeted with a heart swelling smile of his wife... He ignores his wife and goes over to the couch, followed by Urmila.
"Ji aap... thik toh hai na? Bukhaar to nahi hai..." Urmila's pure concern towards her husband, visible on her face as she sits beside him. Raghav rests his head on the couch and slightly closes his eyes, the silence growing just as Urmila's tension kept growing.
"Meri jaan se bhi pyaari beti ko... main... main kaise yuhi... kisi ke Ghar bhej du, Urmila? Jab woh chhoti thi to kaha tha maine usse... boht pasand tha na usse woh cartoon... Kya naam tha? Haan... Cindrella. Kaha tha maine usse ke ek din usse bhi koi aise Rajkumar ke saath bhejunga Jo uska humesha khayal rakhega... "
The hurt in Raghav's words was pure... Pure just like a father's love for his beloved daughter.
Urmila pulls Raghav in a longing hug as a thin tear slips her eyes as she closes them. That moment, when their beloved daughter was to marry someone they didn't want her to. Fate does bring obstacles along it seems...
"Mera bhagwaan itna beparwah nhi Ji... Pata hai na aapki laadli kitni pyaari hai Kanha ji ko? Agar aaj unhone yeh faisla Vithi ke liye liya hai to sahi hi hoga..."
Urmila pulls away from the hug, wiping her tears as a proud grin showcases her face... giving all the power and strength to her husband in front. Raghav replies with a faint smile, before he speaks up, "But how are we going to tell her?"
"Ek repte mein dharti chaat ti firegi... Bhaag Jaa chal! Chudail..." Vithika Shah, or you may even call her "Vithicious Shah" (vicious) This girl is currently being held by her younger sister, Vaani... who's trying to stop her from killing the girl who tried to pick a fight with Vaani. I'm sure you must have heard how the eldest sister of the family is understanding and mature.... Ummm Vithika's an exception.
"Di ruk jaao yaar!! Chali gayi woh!!" Vaani exclaims, finally letting go of her hold on her elder sister. She face palms herself after taking a glance around the crowd that was starring at them. "Haan ni toh! Samjhti kya hai apne aap ko?" (What does she even think of herself) Vithika replies, smug very suited on her face.
