It had been about a week since I kicked Kelly out and she had been blowing my phone the fuck up. I could have blocked her but I liked seeing her beg.
Its the sadist in me.
On the other hand Avery hasnt seemed to be effected by what she saw. It was honestly business as usual and that told me everything I needed to know.
It was Friday and the twins were getting ready to go with my mom for the weekend. Its been a weekly thing since I took custody of them. And it gave me some time alone with Avery.
"Auntie can me and Hallie take our tablets to nana's house." Hayden asked me walking in the kitchen.
"Yeah ask Ms. A where they are." I said looking at Avery to see she was already looking at me. Something I've noticed she's been doing more this week.
She was packing Hallie's food since she has decided she was no longer eating any meat except seafood. I swear that girl is something else.
"They are in the game room on the charger Hayden." She said not taking her eyes off me. "Bet thanks Auntie, thank you Ms. A." Hayden said before running off to the game room with Hallie.
I smiled at him before putting my attention back on my laptop. I needed to reply to the investors about this new app that notified pet owners when there animals needed to pee and poop.
I know the shit sounds stupid but its what the white man wants so what can you do.
As I drafted the group email I could feel eyes on me. I smirked of course cause what was I gone do.
"Avery baby if you want something I promise your not going to find it just looking at me." I said trying to make this email sound as enthusiastic as possible. How the fuck do you make a app that tells you your dog has to take a shit sound like something important.
I dont know how but I did it and sent it finally able to close my laptop and be done with work until Monday.
"Who said I was looking at you Aspen." She replied bringing the kids bags and sitting them on the table.
I looked at her with the lie again face cause girl lie again. " Mhm and I'm broke as fuck." I said seeing a text notification on my apple watch. I assumed it was Kelly but it was my mom saying she was outside.
"Hayden, Hallie your nana is here." I yelled picking up their bags. They rushed downstairs with their tablets and gave Avery a hug before dashing out the door. I smiled walking to my mom's car loving the bond and connection they have with Avery.
After talking to my mom a bit I headed back in the house and went to my room ready to crash for a few hours.
