Kim Chaewon has dealt with more in seventeen years than should in their entire life. After years of foster care, she's finally adopted by her former stepmom Jennie Kim. Thinking life is finally getting better. She soon realizes though that the man living with them isn't as kind and forgiving as Chaewon had thought, and becomes stuck in a world of alcohol and abuse.
After the beating that evokes the need for an alcoholic and sexual escape. Kim Chaewon finds her escape from reality in her soon to be biology teacher. And when the two meet again during the beginning of the school year, neither of them know what to do with their situation. But ther conflict with each other is no match for the conflict Chaewon has with her adoptive father. And the two soon find themselves developing a relationship that test both of their willingness to let others in.
Even though both of them have entirely different reasons, they both find themselves desperate to stay away from each other.
But soon realize that many are easier said then none.
