"Ethan!" I pounded on my brother's bedroom door, smoothing out my red blouse as I waited for him to open the door.

He opened it just enough to stick his head out. "What?"

"If Mom hasn't told you yet, I'm going to Justin's tonight. Jane is all yours." I smirked at the look on his face before heading downstairs.

"Bye Jane!" I called into the living room as I grabbed my purse and headed out the door. I walked down the street as Benny left his house with a bag of marshmallows and a couple of other things.

I turned onto Chapel Road, shivering slightly in the cool breeze of an August night. My boyfriend lived on Cariboo Avenue, which was only a few blocks away. I finished my trek quickly, knocking on his front door. His parents were out of town, so we wouldn't have any issues.

Justin opened the door, a grin spreading across his face. "Hey, Emma-boo. Come on in." I hated the nickname, but it was fine. It was always fine.

I stepped inside of his house, the familiar scent encapsulating me and making the hair on the back of my neck stand up. "What's the plan for tonight?" I asked, glancing around the living room.

Justin motioned toward the couch. "Netflix and chill." He winked, leading me to the couch where a cozy setup awaited.

I sat next to him as he started a film. It was called "Blue Valentine", and I could tell that he wanted to go further tonight.

Two hours later, the movie was over, and Justin turned to me. "Now for the chill part." He started running his hands down my chest, making me uncomfortable.

"I- I'm not comfortable with this..." I said as I pushed him away. He grabbed my wrist, making me pull away and leave in a hurry.

I moved quickly, the normally twenty minute walk taking closer to ten. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck... My internal monologue was one word, blending together a thousand times.

I turned on to my street and saw my parent's car in the driveway. I thought they would be out a little bit longer...

I went inside, hanging my bag on its hook. I could hear raised voices in the kitchen, and it sounded like my twin hadn't been watching Jane, she had gone outside, and something had scared her.

I took off my blue Converse and put them in the little cubby under my backpack before going up to my room and flopping onto my bed.

I lay on the soft green duvet for what could have been forever. I heard brother enter his room, slamming the door behind him. I signed as I got up to change. I unbuttoned my blouse and slipped off my jeans before unlatching my bra and letting it fall to the floor.

I put on a soft, oversized nightshirt before sliding under the covers and closing my eyes.
