The next day, three unexpected people showed up.

"Hey, did you know there are leeches in the kingdom?" Someone said as they walked into the library.

"Why would they be allowed to come here? And how can they even walk in the sun?" Another said.

    "Guys..." a third voice said.

"Maybe we should make some garlic necklaces or something?" The first voice asked.

"Guys..." the third voice said again.

"No. That would never work. Maybe Prince Julien knows some spells we could use-"

    "GUYS!" The third voice yelled.

    "What?!"

The third person pointed to the window seat at the back of the library. Sitting side by side, were Killigan and Julien. Julien had his arms crossed with a frown on his face and Killigan seemed to be trying not to laugh.

"Why didn't you tell us he was already here?" The first person whispered to the third person.

"We can still hear you." Julien said as he walked over to them and stood in front of them.

"Hey your majesty. Haven't seen you in a long time. How have you been?" The second person said with a smile.

"I was better before you showed up Chenzira." Julien said.

Suddenly, all three pulled Julien into a group and Julien's frown was replaced with a smile.

"Did I miss something?" Killigan asked as he approached them.

    "Who's the bloodsucker?" Chenzira asked.

    "My boyfriend." Julien replied.

Slowly, they turned to glance at each other before taking a step back and bowing.

"Our apologizes your majesty." They said in unison before standing straight again.

Julien turned to face Killigan and said, "These three are Afton, Bearon, and Chenzira. Their parents work here so we all grew up together. Though..." Julien turned back to them "that doesn't explain where you've been this entire time."

"You're dad "banished" us again." Bearon said with emphasis on "banished".

    "Again?" Killigan asked.

"What did you do this time?" Julien asked at the same time.

Julien looked to Killigan and explained, "They get "banished" at least once a year, but my dad always lets them come back. That's why they're nicknamed The Three Menaces." Julien looked back at the others and said, "Explain."

"It wasn't our fault this time." Afton said.

"Don't lie to me." Julien said before, once again, crossing his arms.

"Okay but the fault can't be on just us." Bearon said before whispering, "Your dad's a hypocrite."

"I can still hear you." Julien said. "Just tell me."

"We might have possibly, accidentally, blew up half of the potions lab." Afton said while sheepishly looking down.

"How do accidentally blow up a poti.... You mixed something together that you shouldn't have, didn't you?" Julien asked with an annoyed expression on his face.

"How were we supposed to know that nightshade and weeping night shards couldn't be mixed together? They both have night in their names. Logically speaking, it should've worked." Chenzira said.

Julien rubbed his forehead while Killigan began to chuckle.

"That lab has been blown up before. That's nothing new, so why did my dad feel the need to banish you?" Julien asked them.

"Probably because when the lab blew up, a lot of rare ingredients got destroyed as well." Afton said softly.

"How rare were the ingredients?" Killigan asked.

The three of them didn't say anything.

    "Anwser him!" Julien angrily responded.

    "Things like the rosměr crystal-"

"What?! You destroyed the rosměr crystal?!" Julien shouted at them.

"What's a rosměr crystal?" Killigan asked.

"It's a crystal powerful enough to open doors to other dimensions." Julien replied.

"Oh...So it was extremely rare." Killigan said.

"He shouldn't have lifted your banishment so soon." Julien said with a shake of his head.

Julien grabbed Killigan hand and pulled him from the room. "Come on. I can't be around them right now."

"Where are going?" Killigan asked as Julien pulled him out of the palace and into the small forest surrounding the palace.

"Trust me. You'll like it." Julien replied.

They eventually came across a hot spring. Julien began to undress and hopped into the pool and Killigan followed.

"I like to come here to relax. Water has always been one of the things that calms me." Julien said as he leaned back against the side of the pool and leaned his head back.

"I can tell." Killigan's voice sounded very close so Julien lifted his head to see Killigan inches away.

Julien placed his hands on Killigan's face just as Killigan's eyes changed into a reddish orange color. Julien rubbed his thumb under one of Killigan's eyes.

"Why do your eyes change color?" Julien asked.

Killigan closed his eyes before saying, "I know. They're not the prettiest to look at, are they?"

"No. That's not it at all. They're beautiful." Julien replied and Killigan opened his eyes. "Are you hungry? Is that it? Here." Julien offered his wrist.

Killigan grabbed Julien's wrist with a small shake of his head. "You don't even know what you're offering me do you?"

"What are you talking about?" Julien asked.

"Blood sharing between couples is a form of bonding. The blood is sweeter, the power in blood sharing intensifies. The rush of euphoria is intense as long as there are feelings involved and I know you feel something for me." Killigan said.

Killigan's gaze slowly swept over Julien's body before settling back on his face.

Killigan looked into Julien's eyes and said, "Your whole body has turned red and I know it's not because of the heat from the spring."

Julien face turned a darker red. Julien raised his wrist back Killigan's mouth. "If you're so confident and bold, why don't you do it then?" Julien asked.

Killigan bit into Julien's wrist. Beside a small pinch, Julien didn't feel the bite. He was focused on Killigan, who hadn't stopped staring into Julien's eyes.

After a few moments, Killigan stopped and licked the bite mark on Julien's wrist. The mark disappeared, leaving behind a serene feeling. Julien noticed that Killigan's eyes had changed into a fiercer, more fiery red than it was before

Julien leaned forward and kissed Killigan. Before they could go any further, Killigan asked Julien, "Are you sure?"

"Yes. I want you." Julien replied.

So they spent some time getting closer and doing as lovers do. Not knowing of the tragic storm that was quickly approaching.
