They are with everyone (demon slayer characters like all the hashira and everyone else) and they are at school but it is break time during school so they can do whatever they want for an hour. And they took the 'whatever' too seriously.

High School AU

3rd person pov:

Zenitsu and Tanjiro are walking up to the others. When they got close enough they heard everyone talking, but not about just anything, they were talking about them.

They hide and make sure no one saw them and listen to what they're saying.

Nezuko: "They would be so cute together honestly. Like the way they look at each other, I can feel the tension rising every time they go near or even see each other."

Muichiro: "Yea honestly at this point they should just make out."

Sanemi: "Or have sex. That might solve a lot more than them just making out."

Uzui: "Ok dang Sanemi. But yea they should."

Kanao: "They are so nice to each other too. Like you know how Tanjiro is a nice person and confident to others right? Well when he's around Zenitsu he's even nicer and way less confident."

Shinobu: "Y'all are just calling them out like that, dang. But yea I have noticed that."

Mitsuri: "You're talking about Tanjiro? Well you know how Zenitsu is always all over girls and is always so annoying with them and has like basically no shame? Well around Tanjiro he has a lot of shame and basically stops talking like how he normally talks to girls and basically everyone within our group. It's like he changed personalities to seem cool in front of Tanjiro instead of seeming annoying."

Giyuu: "Yea and when they are around each other they need pruning shears just to cut through the tension in between them."

Rengoku: "Dang, y'all took my words...um basically add everything y'all said together and rephrase it a bit and then you have what I was gonna say."

Obanai: "I have nothing to say besides the fact I want to put them in a room together and lock the door and make sure they can't get out until they solve whatever is happening between them, and I'm not even gonna explain what they would have to do to get that tension to go away."

Murata: "Why am I even here. I must admit though everything y'all said has probably already happened between them and they just act awkward because none of us know yet."

Aoi: "Of course you would say that."

Murata: "What's that su- never mind."

Inosuke: "Y'all think y'all have it bad. Inhabited sharing an apartment, pretty much all classes, and going pretty much everywhere with them."

Nezuko: "Imagine being Tanjiro's sister."

Sanemi: "We get it y'all have it worse than us but still it's pretty bad."

Meanwhile...

Tanjiro: "Um should we go over there or leave?"

Zenitsu: "We should go over there and snake out in front of them."

Tanjiro lost his words at what Zenitsu just said and just stands there in shock.

Zenitsu: "I'm just kidding."

Tanjiro: "O-Oh."

Zenitsu: "Unless...you want to."

Tanjiro: "I mean they want us too and it's seems like you want us to and I think it's obvious I want to, so let's do it."
